Age Group of OG

Post by myfaceisblue » Tue Nov 10, 2009 9:32 pm

I've been wondering what the age group is that supports OG. I'm guessing 12-17 :?:

im 13

EDIT: So taking all this into account, as a ball-park, the group is 12-30 is the most popular, though some people could be younger and some older.

I think you're a bit off. I mean many of the top posters here are 19+. I myself am 15yo, but I can assure you, that it's mostly, as you might call them, "oldies." (That was merely a halfhearted/halfassed attempt at humor, don't take it personally)
Think about it. Most of us would get fed up with having to wait for the full game, and most of us wouldn't care about the alphas, not have the patience to learn the editor. This is just a general statement about teens, so yes, I know there are a lot of us out there that do, and would.

Yeah, an indie game like Overgrowth with the Lugaru fans leeching over? I'd say your average stayer would be like 19-23.

here's some info from our facebook page:

I think Facebook fans are biased towards older people, since Facebook is extremely popular among college students.

I guess that by "biased towards older people", you mean at 18-30 age range, not the 45+. 8% of your fans could have been gaming for 20 years (if they're 35 now they were born 1974, if they started playing at 15 it was 1989) or longer. Not bad for an action game.

I've been gaming for 10 years, and I'm 13 :)

(Not that I completely understood the more subtle aspects of the storyline in Metal Gear Solid at the age of four, but I sure did appreciate the pretty explosions.)

I must have been 3 or 4 when I started, on the old 8-bit tetris game boy.
And now the music is in my head.

YES!! SOMEONE ELSE PLAYED BUGDOM!! I remember me, sitting on my dad's lap, attacking while he controlled the bug. We had kick-ass teamwork.

:( i feel lonely... i think i started gaming when i was 4, some crazy awesome cow game xD

you shot cows in zeppelins, cars, or just on the field with shotguns and miniguns... lots of violence going on. But it was one big virus, so i only played it for a week i think. Was awesome though, and maybe my first game... Except some of thoose ugly paint programs xD

aaah yes... when there was no internet, and DOS was what we would call High-end.
