The survival elements sound cool but what about diseases amd plagues? Filthy water sources, ect, ect. Will Turner be ble to fall ill? Have hilsunations if sick enough? Just a few things I'm throwing out onto the table.

Diseases and plagues are a bit much. I know I mentioned poisoning a water hole to David, but that's as far as I went. There was purpose to it as well, you would weaken a whole group of enemies by tainting their water supply. The downside being you couldn't use that water supply either. It might be funny to have Drunken Kungfu in there where you have to get drunk to be more effective at it.

About that building shelter, getting NPC friends and stuff...

Will you be able to build a house, get a wife, some kids, and just live there and eat, live play around and get attacked by random enemies walking by now and then? I mean, having a simple life outside the town, getting apples from the trees (or carrots from the ground if you prefer), etc, get water from a nearby lake and get a bigger better house as you earn money would be frikking awesome! or you could just be a wanderer and get quests and save the world etc.

no?

would be awesome though ;)

(I know, a bit much to ask :P)
Sounds a lot like fable.
Anyway, you should be able to do that, but it would make the game massive. This is going to be over a gigabyte.

I doubt there will be a full house building farm running family rearing simulation, could be wrong though.
It's not about farm or family...
It's about meditating while looking at water, at falling sakura... oops, wrong game... falling autumn leaves...

You guys have got to calm down a bit.
You want to get the game this century, right? XP

Instead of asking "Will this and that be in the game"
(Some of the questions/suggestions are a bit farfetched) you could make a thread were you could post ideas.
So it would be easier for David to ignore it. xD
But eh, I guess, this is the Lugaru 2 topic.

Anyfruit.
The survival/new elements (climbing and such) sound cool!
I definitively am getting this when it comes out!

something along the lines of boiling point would be cool. you can take missions from ppl or just mess around and fight random ppl. maybe factions would work

From previous posts I have gathered that will be one style of play available to you.

So, this will be totally free form, or will it have optional storylines?

There will still be important story arcs; missions will often have follow-up missions that add up to significant stories.

Don't mean to press my luck or press you out of suprises in the game but I was wondering if it will also reveal (drum roll please) why Turner knows all the combat moves he know so he can beat the crap out of people. Or is it like in anceint Japan, where peasents were schooled in Karate (and monks) to protect themselves and there village from bandits, warlords, and the enemy if Japan was at war. Again, I understand if you are undecided about this or do not want to reveal this at the moment.

Can you discuss what modular elements are going to be present for sure in the new in game editor, David ?

It may be too soon for this but I thought this might help people think up ideas ahead of time for what Mods they want to make. This is based on the fact that Mods go a lot smoother the more planning they have ahead of time. No rush to answer this and hopefully the above question wont attract the same negative energy I've picked up everytime someone asks a ledgible question ;).
