Im absolutly not complaining about the graphics, since it's a old series of games. But I mean... why of all games, Marathon?

Like saying the old Final Fantasy games were better or GoldenEye for the N64. Those games were brilliant then, not now. Even average games from this day can beat them easily.

Sorry for going off-topic. I felt I needed to get that off my chest.
How do you even compare Final Fantasy and Goldeneye? They were both two different genres...but yeah comparing games from two different eras is rather pointless. But I was just stating my opinion that I think Marathon is better than Halo...

Marathon is awesome because of a plot that NONE other game has yet to rival, there is simply no other game that can compare, the weapons are balanced, multi-player is amazing, drop dead gorgeous graphics, (OK, maybe a little too far there.) Also it owns Halo/Halo 2.
@Grayswandir In the end of Marathon: Infinity, you survive the end of the universe, and become a god with Durandal, didn't you beat it?

What the hell does Halo have to do with Marathon?

Have you played Halo AND Marathon? The sign, the circle with another circle inside of it, is from Marathon, AI? That is from Marathon, A good deal of the weapons can translate directly from Halo to Marathon, but I just think that Marathon owns Halo.

I never compared Final Fantasy and Goldeneye. What the hell? I said "Like saying the old Final Fantasy games were better or GoldenEye for the N64." You see where it says "or" and not "than"? I was not comparing them, I was giving two examples of type of games people go on about the whole time as if they were something amazing. Don't say people don't, because a hell of a lot of people do.

Well, now I'm just completely and utterly lost...so...BUTTERFLIES!!!! WHEEEEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE!!!!!!!!

@Crill3: Halo and Marathon only share symbols, and a couple names, sounds, etc...you could consider some parts of Halo as homages to Marathon, but they really aren't the same game, they just have some major similarities.

ANOTHER GAMETYPE!!!
Hunting...your objective is to kill as many bunny children as violently as possible in a set time limit. Whoever mauls, massacres, and brutalizes the largest number of helpless bunny children wins.

Wow....well, I seriously didn't mean to piss people off...nor did I expect people to take it so seriously...so I apologize...
I've been playing too much Myth II, one of the game types is where you run around and kill helpless peasants, children, things...whatever. Anyway, yes I have played Lugaru all the way through...meh, yeah it was over the top, so I apologize. I was actually trying to get the thread back on topic, and it was the first thing that I could think of. Ban me if you want, if you think its that serious. But I still suggest some kind of hunting thing...

maybe hunt the birds with knives?

I think it would be cool if there was a giant tree and kill the birds that sit on it.

Maybe make a model of Barbra Streissand to beat up! YEAH!

Well, neither did I, but I'm apologizing to Usagi anyway...although I think he's taking the game a little bit too seriously...but that's me.

Well, everyone is offended by different things, so I think we need to respect that, I get offended by terrible spelling, and the mangling of the English language. (Heck, any language.)
