The Phoenix engine now supports a form of gloss map, which allows us to modulate the reflectivity of surfaces using the alpha channel of the texture. This means that we can easily render models that reflect light differently from different areas.
Don't forget to clean off your sword after you use it...

Why model and texture a sword you aren't going to use?
It looks sort of khukri inspired, what actually is it?
Also, there seems to be some sort of engraved insignia just above the hilt, what is that?

Traced over images based on the two screenshots.
Or it might simply be a stylized A.

It is the symbol of the uber pwning ninja bunny rabbits
On a more serios note it looks great, the reflection affects are cool, as for the last screenshot, what the heck is that on the sword, Rust or blood, or both?

zip, you're on the right track. just remember thats a pretty extreme angle to be trying to make sense of.
the maker's mark will be appearing on some more of the blades, so you'll have more oppurtunities to figure it out.

The swords look allright when it comes to reflection, but why did you desided to create a low polygon sword? Or is this weapon going to be redesigned near lugaru 2's release?
