Phoenix Engine 9-30-05 More Weapons

Post by David » Fri Sep 30, 2005 10:57 pm

I have been working on various less visual areas like scene management, sound, and so on, so I decided it is time for another screenshot update 8)

Here are ten of the weapons we have so far:

fantastic!
in descending order:
1. small knife- looks like the original, not much there.
2.looks like the end could be used for blunt combat.
3.looks like an ornalmental, bad for fighting
4.wow. awesome. looks balanced and deadly.
5.looks almost like it could be thrown...
6. my 2nd fav. looks like an elongated kitchen knife.
7.looks unbalanced.
8. thank god this is what many ppl have been waiting for!
9.AWESOME. looks like spinning, stabbing, throwing, slicing, its the quisinart of lugaru 2.
10. loos like you could do major damage, like a bardiche from diablo 2.
---------------
should we be expecting a set of 10 blunt weapons?
and thanks, i asked for new weapons, and yousure as hell delivered. wow. i love it.

I like them. Just like the first lugaru, the weapons have reflection.

I don't think there was reflections, but they had shiny textures on them.

I don't think Lugaru 1 had weapon reflections either.

Don't let appearance throw you... it's not exactly a stiletto, but maybe it has increased piercing damage against armour (chain armour?).

It has a center of gravity that is farther away from the handle, agreed. That does not have to be a bad thing, though. Although I myself prefer it, too, when the cog is closer to the hilt (a sword handles faster, then), you can exert more force with a sword (scimitar, w/e) if the cog is farther towards the tip.

It was a typo. I didn't check anything before I posted it.

Weapons look cool. Some of them look like you could hurt yourself using them if you don't know what your doing.
As for the third one, it doesn't look like it's just for decoration, unless David contridicts this, I think it's a stabing weapon, meant for well, stabing, and a throwing weapon.

I think some d2 fist weapons/claws would be cool.
