SOS Question

Post by Harlequin » Sat Feb 04, 2006 6:19 pm

Is there any chance that SOS could be relised open source. The first level is SO much fun, but it gets a bit repetative after a while, and I just thought if would be nice to attemped to play with the script.

There are several levels, and you can make your own just like in Lugaru.

SOS was a robot FPS I was working on a couple years back. The site was: http://wolfire.com/SOS.html

I cannot release the source code, at least not yet, because it uses the same core engine as Lugaru.

Me wonders why it isn't properly linked to on the site, and why there is no download link in that old page?

Several levels? Only one afaik.. I haven't checked the maps folder though..

Hehe :)
You have access to it, too.
If you know the link.
Download link is as you see not in that page (SOS.html)

Go play!

Dude, even though it weren't much, it 's pretty cool!
I mean, I was like "woah, why didn't he continue on this one? :)"

but, oh well, it's time for lugaru 2 now, so... ^_^

I like the way you can disble bodyparts of other robots. :) *blam blam* "oh, shit! my leg! I can't feel my leg!"

In the MP thread, David described a MP mode involving bows with a manual aiming system, in L2 (here).
So we might see some of SOS's potential back! :D

Btw, anybody knows why it was discontinued?

Its fun to shoot both their legs out and watch them slither towards you.

Debug mode is on, so you can go slowmotion (b) and stop time for screenies (v) like in Lugaru.

The map2 was a nice map too.
