5 GB is no problem (don't think that will happen though),
processor is no problem (1.8 GHZ), i've got 768 RAM, that will do me thinks.
But when it comes to the VRAM, I wonder if I will be able to play this at my Mac :(
It's only a 64 MB GeForce FX 5200!

Dave, make sure you put in alot of options to tune down or turn off the eye-candy!

I have a myst rev box sitting right next to me...uhhh, it says that the minimum vram reqs are 32MB and the recommended is 64MB. (both Mac and PC) Are you thinking of the new myst game? (myst V: end of ages) Its the one that uses a 3D engine instead of just all pictures and videos. That would make more sense.
End of Ages isn't the only one to do that; Exile has full 3D as well, if I remember correctly. Not sure 'bout Revelations, I haven't played it

Three updates a day? That's what I'm talking about.
It may not seem like it, but I really do appreciate every single update you show to us. I'm sure every one else feels the same way too.

I made a lot of progress on things that I didn't think were blog-worthy; right now I am working on biologically-grown plants that grow based on soil nutrition, light direction, and so on. They are not good enough yet for a blog post, but here is an example:

Are we actually going to see plants grow and die in the game as time progresses? Dang.. talk about a living breathing world O.o

Nice! Does this mean I don't have to model trees? :P

This is correct, all plants and trees will most likely be grown in this fashion 8)
