Another debug fanatic =D all my scores are 0 as well. It wouldn't really matter if I did try and go for the records, I mainly play on easiest anyways X3Usagi wrote:I hate not being on all the lists.
Official Lugaru Ranking
That isn't because of debug; this is my NDB (No De-Bug) version for playing for high scores and low times.
I don't have a score on those other levels because I wasn't interested in keeping them: I ended the levels before I cleared them.
My 5924 on L6 is unassisted; I was trying to break the 6K barrier. I expect to soon.

Luckiest Thing I've Ever Done
I spinecrushed the first rabbit, then I ran towards the next one and Leg Cannoned him into the last, which took them both out.

Ooof, too much Lugaru lately. I beat beginner's high score in level 14 and Usagi's best time in level 7, both with a very small margin. The level 7 time was nothing special, really - just spinecrush the closest rabbit, then go on to smash everybody else with his staff.

Finally got around to implementing (part of) my grand plan for level 7.
The rabbits in this level are very resistant to damage so if you're unarmed, you can get a big mega-combo score by fighting two at a time (three if you feel up to it)... it's just that you all need to be unarmed. If you have a staff, you can't combo, if they have staves, it's hard to get those combos to last.
I'm sure that you could improve on this score quite a bit with a variation on the same tactic... your first two hits are worth 598 points if they're running staff smashes, and I made no use of that at all. Also, the mega-combo could have been lengthier...
(as for disarming them, well, in this case I think I used one or two actual staff disarms, the rest were tacklings)

... indeed.

How? Well, first, after a few tries I realised that despite the damage resistance, a running spin smash actually will fairly reliable take a rabbit out in this map, too... so I only used it once, scoring a staff disarm and a 399-point solid hit out of the first rabbit. Then I picked two rabbits, disarmed them, and juggled an enormous combo score out of them (I think the score for the last megacombo hit was like 117... I can't remember the exact number, of course). I might have gotten a slightly higher score with smart multicomboing, I only got two hits at the four-hit combo level. Anyway, my score was way over 5000 at this point, so I played it safe and spinecrushed one of the remaining rabbits, and leg-cannoned the other (I hadn't used a leg cannon yet) and got a few two-hit combos out of him...
Anybody up for >6000 points in challenge 7?

I did it. 6030! Great challenge!
The way to do it: Fight 2 rabbits at the time. First disarm them, and put the staffs out of their reach. Jump and flip over their heads to confuse them, make sure they stand close to eachother, land behind their backs, then try to make as many mega combo's as possible.. After a while it gets too hard to make combo's, then just kill them. I had 4400 points after the first 2 rabbits. Then take the next two rabbits, and do the same. After this I crushed the last rabbit's spine.
I did most of my scores this way. It works great.
