Part 26 Dusk

Invertin still had the skull, no matter what he did he couldn't bring himself to get rid of it.
"What the heck is with this thing?"
He went back to the council, everyone was still dead. But a wolf in bright orange robes was there, dragging the bodies into a room Invertin wasn't normally allowed in, the rabbit saw Invertin
"Hey."
"Hey?"
"Isn't that a common greeting?"
"Yeah but.. I havn't met some-one who doesn't want to kill me in some time."
"It comes with the job."
"Wait... Your in the council?"
"Duh, the robes?"
"What element are you?"
"Sun."
"Moon."
"Whats your name, moony?"
"Invertin, don't call me moony."
"Wait, Invertin? I thought you were the alpha wolf!?"
"I was but.... The wolves dissagreed with my way of things.."
"Ok, whatever."
"Why did you leave the pack?"
"I chose to."
"Why!?"
"Didn't like it."
"But.. you belong there! No wolf has left the pack willingly!!"
"Well I have, and none of your drunken guards ever noticed."
"Whats your name?"
"Dusk."
"Doesn't really fit the sun does it?"
"I like it though."
"Yeah.."
Dusk continued to clean up the bodies, he even washed away the blood when he was done.
"Invertin?"
"Yeah?"
"Can I come with you?"
"Of co-... No, you can't.."
"Why not?"
"...My friends have a habbit of...."
"..I understand, the council was my life you know. Seeing Terragon, Zarex, Varex.. Dead... It took some time to take it in."
"...I know, the day they died my friend was murdered... Well, to me she was more than a friend..."
"Oh, I'm sorry.."
"Nevermind, I need to go, in 9 hours the swarm will kill me."
"Ok."
Invertin just left, he looked again at the skull, thought about vixen, and knew what he had to do, whether he liked it or not.
Later...
Invertin stood in the woods, in the same spot he met the red ant, he pulled the skull out of his pocket.
*I know what yor thinking, you cannot resist the skull*
He put the skull on the ground
*Your making a big mistake!*
He left the skull there and walked away, it was out of his hands, the odd power of that skull was the swarms problem now.

(Sorry about all the talking, I needed to introduce Dusk in some way.)

The talking was very hard to understand, I never knew who the hell was talking!

The first talker was Invertin, then Dusk, then Invertin ect. ect.

Here's my view of who I thought was talking, I for Invertin, D for Dusk:

I "Hey."
D "Hey?"
I "Isn't that a common greeting?"

Sorry, it was dusk then Invertin.

Try putting the name of the speaker before each line or something. It's rather hard to figure out who's speaking even now.

Ok, I swear this writer's block is only temporary..

Part 27 Threats and fights
These events take place about 2 seconds after part 26
Invertin walked away from the skull, he knew there was something weird about it but he didn't want anything to do with it, he wasn't actually sure what made him do it. Did the talk with dusk convince him? Thinking about vixen? Or Something about the skull?
Invertin turned round to see the skull was gone, a note was on the floor in it's place

Invertin

We thank you for returning our skull, while it was very genorous of you. I am afraid you know too much about us now, we will kill you tomorrow at dawn, unless you do what we tell you to.


1. Find Dusk, we've been following him for some time but he's gone missing.

2. Retrieve a crystal Dusk has in his possesion

3. Join us.

Invertin looked at the note, he'd gotten out of worse situations before. The swarm can't be to big! He went back to the council, Dusk was still there.
Dusk: "Hey, again"
Invertin: "Dusk, what do you know about the swarm?"
Dusk: "The- th- the Swarm!?"
Dusk was frightend out of his wits now.
Invertin: "What's wrong?"
Dusk: "Whatever you do, have nothing to do with the swarm, nothing at all!"
Invertin: "Why!? And how do you know?"
Dusk: "....I was a part of the swarm once, it's a wierd place, they try to crossbreed wolves and rabbits, and sometimes it actually works, but it always works different. They, they hipnotise you, make you forget who you are, it's.. Horrible."
Invertin: "You don't remember who you were before the swarm?"
Dusk: "No, but they keep a record of every members past activity, in other words the swarm knows who I was."
Invertin: "Then let's go find out."
Dusk: "Oh no, your not getting me anywhere near that place again, if they catch us, just one hipnosis and were one of them!"
Invertin: "Wuss."
Dusk suddenly became mad.
Dusk: "Shut up and give me a knife or something."
The headed out (according to Dusk's directions) to the swarms HQ and when they got there a huge stone door in the side of a mountain was closed, if they opened it theat would attract attention.
Dusk: "Oh, look no entrance, let's come back later."
Dusk tried to leave but Invertin grabbed his arm, pulled him back, then let go and climbed up the mountain, Dusk just followed, unwillingly. Invertin found a small gap in the mountain, he slid through but grabbed one side so he hung, he ended up in a large red room with a bed on a podium, on one wall was a painting of a wolf, the other of a rabbit, and on the wall behind invertin was a painting of a red ant.
Invertin: "This room looks nice, what is it?"
Dusk poked his head through the gap
Dusk: "This is the cross-breeding room."
Invertin: "Ew."
Suddenly a male wolf and a femal rabbit walked throught the doors and saw Invertin hanging on the ceiling.
Invertin: "Oh, um..."
They ran away
Dusk: "just climb up!"
Invertin: "I can't, it's cold up there and my fingers are frozen!"
The wolf and rabbit came back later with 4 red ants holding spears.
Invertin: "Oh bugger,"
The ants (we'll call them that for short) threw the spears at invertin but before they hit him Dusk stamped on Invertin's hands, broke the ice, and then Invertin slipped and fell down. The wolf and rabbit from before ran away.
Invertin: "Only 5? No problem"
The ants charged at him, one tried to punch him but invertin ducked under, grabbed the ant by the waist, and threw him at another ant.
Invertin: "2 down, 3 to go."
One of the ants tried a rabbit kick, but Invertin stepped to the side, grabbed the ants foot, swung him round and threw him into a wall. one ant leg-sweeped him and another roundhouse kicked him, but invertin jumped over the sweep, then curled up in mid-air and went under the roundhouse kick too, then when he landed, he grabbed both ants by the neck, then slammed their heads together.
Invertin: "Too easy."
Dusk: "You beat them!?"
Invertin: "Yeah, not with your help."
Dusk: "You really are the ex-alpha wolf, no-one could have survived 5 ants at once, I didn't see the fight, I looked away."
Invertin: "I didn't survive because I'm ex-alpha, I survived because I'm fast, smart, and know how to fight."
Dusk Slipped down through the gap into the room.
Dusk: "Come on, lets find the air vents."
Invertin: "Air vents?"
Dusk: "Well how else do you expect they breath here!?"
The two of them looked round the room for some sort of vent, or tube, or anything.

(That fight was almost pirates of the carrabian-ish! Except for the curled up jump, that was more matrix.)

(Ah! I got to finish this storyline before valentines day so I can use the valentines storyline I was thinking of!)
Part 28 Sneaking into the swarm

Dusk thought he saw a vent so he opened it up and was blown to the other side of the room by the huge gust of wind and smashed through the wall.
Invertin: "Great work, we can go through around the wall!"
Dusk: "Um, thanks?"
They went through the small gap inbetween the wall and the mountain-wall. They went along until they found another vent, they looked through and on the other side was a room full of red ant armours and some weird looking swords (the blades had a hook at the end and the handles had another hook going the other way.) They went in and put on the armour
Invertin: "This feels really weird!"
Dusk: "You get used to it after a while."
Invertin: "Before we go, the red ants are rabbit and wolf crossbreeds?"
Dusk: "Yes."
Invertin: "So these helmets were built for rabbit-wolves?"
Dusk: "No, rabbit-wolves don't get the ears and the nose, the get a bit of both, or just one. The tail also has the same thing."
Invertin: "So I could meet a rabbit-wolf and it would look like a wolf? Or one that just looks like a rabbit?"
Dusk: "Yes."
Invertin: ".....How did you join the Swarm?"
Dusk: "Another time, let's go."
Dusk walked towards the door. Invertin just shrugged and followed, they ended up in a big hall where loads of ants stood in ranks, staring at a huge stage in front. Invertin and Dusk joined the back. After while a red ant walked on with black and silver armour.
Dusk: "Thats the black ant, treat him with respect, he is the leader here."
Invertin: "But I'm not in the swarm!"
Dusk: "I didn't say it had to be real respect."
Black ant: "Red ants, I've heard that there is an intruder in the swarm, the only way to find him is to check everyone, if we find one wolf, or one rabbit, kill them!"
Invertin: "How do they tell if rabbit-wolves can look like wolves?"
Dusk: "All Rabbit wolves are given an injection at birth to signify them, give me your arm."
Invertin took off his arm-plate and Dusk bit it.
Invertin: "OW! What was that for!?"
Dusk: "Ssshh, the injection passes around the body and effects everything about you, even your saliva, you have the injection now."
Invertin: "What does it do?"
Dusk: "I'll tell you later"
A red ant with a knife and a bottle came along and lightly poked Invertins arm with the knife until it drew blood, then he got a single drop in the bottle and carried on. After everyone's blood was collected in different bottles, they were all put over a fire, they all turned green.
Black ant: "Well, the intruder hasn't snuck in my ranks. I shall check again next week, but if you see him, kill him."
The black ant left and 5 seconds after everyone else left.
Invertin: "Why do we have to wait?"
Dusk: "respect."
Invertin: "I don't respect him though!"
Dusk: "It doesn't have to be real respect."
Invertin: "Are there any side effects to the injection?"
Dusk: "We've tried it and there is only one, but its very rare."
Invertin: "What?"
Dusk: "....Gender confusion."
Invertin: "What's that supposed to mean?"
Dusk: "The body will enhance your needed parts and remove your uneeded parts, if it forgets your gender, it will enhance you needed parts meaning you will grow...
Invertin: "Oh, bugger."
Dusk: "It will then remove your uneeded parts, meaning you...."
Invertin: "OH! BUGGER!"
Dusk: "It's very, very rare though so don't worry! And there is a cure!"
Invertin: "Oh thats not so bad then."
Dusk: "And the female armour would look great on you!
Invertin glared at Dusk.
Invertin: "what do we do now?"
Dusk: "We find a room."
Invertin: "What do you mean?"
Dusk: "We go upstairs, pick an unused room and share a bunk-bed."
Invertin: "Ok. Lets go."
Invertin and Dusk went upstairs, Invertin started feel a little odd in the crotch and got paranoid as they went up....

Why didn't the black ant notice them yelling so much?

......Um... It's hard to hear with those helmets? And I decided to not gender bend, it's just not realistic.

Yes, but that quote doesn't actually mean anything regarding gender bending actually happening in the story.
