It's strange how Invertin could wield two swords and a kite shield.

1.I meant graphic mental images you get when reading.

2&3. He wore it on his back, if he loses a sword he has a sheild too.

Graphic mental images are generally too dark for that though.

Part 34

Dusk: "MOTHER!"
Dusk sat up screaming, he had been asleep next to the pile of bodies, he was sweating.
Dusk: "Urgh. Just a nightmare."
Dusk got up, he had bandages all over him and one of his sleeves had been ripped off in the fight. He walked into the crossbreeding room, he just wanted to go to sleep on the bed. When he went inside he found Range, still in her armor, staring up at the hole in the ceiling.
Dusk: "Hello?"
Range turned round.
Range: "Oh, I didn't see you there."
Dusk: "What are you doing? You look like your waiting for something."
Range: "Nothing."
Dusk: "Range, whats going on here?"
Range: "Nothing. I need to go."
Range tryed to walk past Dusk but he grabbed her arm and pulled her back.
Dusk: "What is going on here?"
Range then looked at Dusk, from head to toe. Then he realised what she was thinking.
Dusk: "You..."
Range: "I.."
Dusk: "Don't say anything, I understand."
Range: "I just wish I could look at you without this helmet."
Dusk: "And why can't you?"
Range: "I'm sorry, I just can't."
Dusk: "I understand not wanting people to know what you are."
Range walked out of the room without saying anything, Dusk watched her leave then collapsed on the bed and fell asleep.

Part 35

Invertin, Range and Dusk headed north. Since Ackrilox said about the alpha wolf dying, mabye they could talk to him, or even make Invertin the new alpha wolf.

Weeks later...

They had finally made it to the icey region, Invertin was amazed they didn't meet any drillers or cultists on the way, but he supposed they can't defend everywhere all the time. Before Invertin even put his foot on the cold snow, he heard a noise behind him, they turned round, nothing.
Invertin: "Keep your guard up."
They continued alon until they made it to the entrance. A voice spoke from nowhere.
???: "Speak you name and buisness"
Invertin: "I am Invertin and-"
Before he could even finish, 5 wolves jumped out from the trees.
Wolves: "You are not allowed here."
Invertin: "I just wish to see the alpha wolf."
Wolves: "No, you may fight us, or leave."
Range loaded her mini-bow and Dusk lifted his spear, but Invertin grabbed the spear and mini-bow and lowered them. Invertin pulled out his own swords and put them on the floor, calmly.
Invertin: "I could wipe out this pack without a sweat, but I need to see the alpha wolf, prisoner or otherwise."
The wolves were surprised, they tied him up and took him to the alpha wolf anyway, they blindfolded him so he could not see the way. finally they stopped.
Wolf: "Here is the Alpha wolf."
Alpha wolf: "So, you've returned. I never thought I'd see you again after you tried to kill me before you left."
Invertin knew that voice.
Invertin: "Mother!?"
Cresent (Invertins mum, if you forgot): "Yes. I am the Alpha female. Remove his blindfolds."
They removed the blindfolds and Cresent sat on the throne, she was alot taller than Invertin, making her almost freakishly huge, she had dark fur, just like Ackrilox, and her fur smelled even more like ash.
Invertin: "So Ackrilox tried to kill me for nothing."
Cresent: "Yes, he never thought his mother would rule after he left."
Invertin: "But you died!"
Cresent: "You can't get rid of me forever."
Invertin: "You've destroyed this family, killed my father, and now what is going to happen to me."
the guards were a bit surprised at "Killed my father" but didn't do anything, Cresent wasn't the alpha wolf for looks, she was strong.
Cresent: "The same as Enicrop, you will be held in the prisons until execution, only this time, I will have the pleasure of killing you myself. As for the others, you'll be forced to watch them die."
They were dragged away to the cells, Invertin fell asleep as soon as the guards let go, he had so much on his mind he couldn't bear to be awake.

Part 36 Return

Dusk shook Invertin awake, some guards had let them out, not to kill them, but they were evacuating the city.
Invertin: "Wha?"
Dusk: "We need to run."
Invertin: "Why? Whats going on?"
Dusk: "JUST GO!"
Invertin got up quickly and ran out, he looked at the city he had once ruled over. It was burning, everything was on fire, some buildings had collapsed and most were missing parts of them.
Dusk: "Come on!"
Invertin: "Some things no-one can run away from."
Invertin grabbed a sword out of a guards sheath and ran at a building, he wall jumped off it, then off another and landed on top of the building. On top was Cresent, fighting a rabbit, wearing black robes.. Only his ears and the bottom of his face were visible under it.
Invertin: "Tiergan?"
Dusk and Range couldn't reach so they jumped up another building nearby. Invertin tried to slash Cresent but she was using dual swords, she blocked Invertins attack with ease and tried to cut Tiergans feet off but he jumped over and whacked her on the head with the flat side of his staff. His staff was odd, instead of having a wooden staff, it was wooden with a metal handle, and it was sharp at both ends, almost like a wooden sword. Cresent staggered back from the blow and tried to similtaniously block the flurry of attacks from Invertin and the constant stabbing of Tiergan, but she fell of the building and landed on her head. Tiergan the span his blade round and whacked Invertin in the stomach with the falt side of his staff. Invertin tried to talk but he was winded. Dusk just watched the fight, when Invertin was attacked he leaned forwards but Range put her arm in the way.
Range: "Even if we could reach, this is his battle."
Tiergan: "Invertin.. My old 'friend'."
Tiergan laughed, it was a heartless, cold laugh.
Tiergan: "Didn't you ever notice anything following you in your travels?"
Invertin: "What are you talking about?"
Tiergan: "I planned out this whole thing."
Invertin: "...What!?"
Tiergan: "It was hard, but if everything had gone to plan you would have brought the destruction of the wolves, once and for all."
Tiergan smiled under his hood.
Tiergan: "But I underestimated you're kindness."
Invertin: "What?.. How?.."
Tiergan: "It was complicated, hard, and very time consuming. I tricked the council, I tricked the wolves, I tricked the swarm, I tricked your family. But most of all. I tricked you."
Tiergan began pacing round the building top.
Tiergan: "I killed your friends, got you kicked out of your own tribe, I killed the person you loved..."
Invertin's eyes widened.
Tiergan: "..you lost everything. But that was so you would be strong, in the mind."
Invertin got up
Invertin: "How."
Tiergan: "I told Ackrilox to get you kicked out, I told him to go beat you up to test you, I was dissapointed by the results, but later you came back and not only escaped the wolves, but you beat him. I knew you were perfect, I saved you so you could carry on, then we met Vixen, and I thought I could have used he somehow-"
Invertin attacked but his sword got imbedded in Tiergans staff, Tiergan then kicked him in the stomach, he flew back and skidded. Tiergan pulled the sword out of his staff and threw it to the ground.
Tiergan: "Don't interupt me, insect."
Invertin: "Vixen is not a tool to be used."
Tiergan: "No, she was"
Invertin attacked again but Tiergan dodged easily and kicked him in the back of the head.
Tiergan: "I could break you without a sweat."
Invertin: "You're all talk."
Tiergan ran up to Invertin and grabbed him by the throat then dangled him off the side of the building
Tiergan: "I'd rather you live to hear how I beat you, but death is just as easy."
Invertin closed his eyes and waited for the fall, but instead he got a kick to the stomach and flung across the other side of the building.
Invertin: "You.. Are... Really.. Strong..."
Tiergan: "I went through the same ordeal as you did in my lifetime. But much, much worse. The wolves are a disease, and you, are the cure."
Invertin: "Why...Me?"
Tiergan: "You were the son of the alpha wolf, that made you strong, which is just what I needed. But you weren't strong enough, thats why I set up this whole story. You would become stronger, and smarter. As I was saying, I knew the mountain was unstable, and I convinced the raiders to stay there until we got across. When the avalanche came, I fell off on purpose, then left this with some of my cloak."
Tiergan threw a bottle at Invertin, it shattered in front of him, it smelled just like Tiergan. Invertin got up and sniffed the air around Tiergan.
Invertin: "You smell like... Death."
Tiergan: "I've gone through lots in my life, and I've seen a fair amount of death. As you did, I convinced my council friends to tell you I was dead, and to let you join. So you did, then you met Ackrilox again, I told him to go back for you, how he got there I do not know. He killed Vixen on my command, and you blamed him for it."
Tiergan laughed again.
Tiergan: "I killed the one person that made you happy. And as I saw her die. I smiled."
Invertin clenched his fists and bared his teeth.
Tiergan: "I had, the last person, who cared about you, murdered."
Invertin screamed and tried to attack gain but Tiergan jumped back and onto another building. Invertin couldn't reach.
Tiergan: "You nearly killed ackrilox and met the swarm for the second time. I told the black ant about you. He left that skull there just so you could find it. After that, most of the events were out of my control. Except for one."
Dusk heard a click as a mini-bow was loaded and put to his head.
Tiergan: "Range is my apprentice, her family was murdered by the wolves, and she was almost killed by the swarm, and with my help, her revenge is complete."
Invertin: "NO!"
The arrow entered Dusks head, he fell to the ground, a small puddle of blood formed around his head.
Invertin: "His story wasn't over."
Range: "Neither was my sisters! But the wolves held no mercy for her either."
Tiergan: "You headed to the wolf pack, but Cresent had already taken place as leader, the plan was that you would fight the guards, and the rest of the wolves would try to kill you too. But by then you were too powerful, once they were all dead you would be overcome with emotion and kill yourself. But you were stupid. Instead of killing all of the wolves, you nearly got yourself killed."
Invertin: "Many lives are worth more than one."
Tiergan: "That is why my plan failed, because you weren't smart enough to fight back. You really would have let yourself die, rather than fighting back?"
Invertin: "Yes. They may not follow me, but they are still my pack."
Tiergan: "I was angry when you didn't fight, so I ran back to the council the whole time you were in jail and got enough fire orbs to burn this place into the ground."
Then for the first time ever, Tiergan raised his hood, as he was blind his eyes were a dark grey, but the fire was reflected in them, it gave them a red glow.
Tiergan: "You, will, die."
Tiergan jumped at Invertin with his staff held out in front, Invertin grabbed a sword off of the ground and pushed it out of the way, Tiergan landed and slashed his staff round Invertin's side, but Invertin blocked it with his sword, Invertin tried to pull his sword back but it was stuck in the blade of the staff. Tiergan laughed, the tried to slash him with the other side, Invertin ducked under it and leg sweeped Tiergan. He fell over and half of his staff fell in a fire, the blade caught on fire. Tiergan picked up the staff and smiled at the burning blade, then he slashed the other side through the fire. The sword that was stuck in the staff before fell out mid slash and flew towards Invertin, he grabbed the sword and noticed the blade was red hot. Invertin slashed straight down on Tiergan and he jumped back, but the red hot blade hit the metal handle of the staff and sliced it in 2, Tiergan spun both swords round, leaving a smokey trail behind.
Invertin: "How could you do this? Use an innocent person's life as a weapon against it's own kind!?"
Tiergan: "Innocent? Wolves brought nothing but dispair to Lugaru!"
Tiergan tried to stab Invertin with both sides of the staff but Invertin jumped over the staff halves and landed with his feet on the handles.
Invertin: "We bring balance!"
Tiergan: "You bring death!"
Invertin felt one of the swords being pulled away from under him so he flipped over Tiergan then spun round and tried to slash his back, but Tiergan was too quick, he'd already blocked his attack with both blades.
Invertin: "And what have the rabbits done for Lugaru? You eat the plants, and grass, you've tried to bring Wolves to extinction more than once! What is your excuse for that!?"
Tiergan: "That's different!"
Tiergan lifted a blade away from the block and Invertin pushed him back before he could slash, Invertin grabbed one of Cresents sword from the ground, the noticed he was cornered.
Invertin: "How is it different? We kill rabbits, sure, but you kill us, you eat the plants, you cut down trees for room and wood, and yet you still think we are the bad ones!?"
Tiergan: "YOU ARE WRONG!"
Tiergan tried to stab Invertin again but Invertin jumped backwards and off the edge.
Tiergan looked over the edge, the only thing he saw was a furry fist coming up to smack him in the jaw.
Invertin: "You've killed. I can see it in your eyes, you've killed with your own hands, and you've regretted it."
Tiergan: "That was a rabbit, he.. He is none of your concern."
Invertin: "So, you killed a rabbit an you regret it. What about all the lives you condemned to death? What about all those people you forced me to kill? The lives you've ruined? And, think about me. What if I was a rabbit? If I was the only way to get rid of the wolves, would you ruin my life to do it?"
Tiergan screamed and charged at Invertin with both swords drawn in front of him, Invertin tried to jump over again but he met a small arrow on the way. Range lowered her mini-bow.
Tiergan: "I don't need your help."
Range: "Then why did you ask for it?"
Tiergan snarled under his breath, then looked at Invertins face.
Invertin: "You.. Still didn't answer my question..."
Tiergan: ".... You are wrong."
Tiergan lifted up Invertin by his throat and held Invertins face close to his.
Tiergan: "I'm not doing this just to stop the wolves, the rabbits are as much of a blight to this place as you."
Invertin: "So, what are you going to do?"
Tiergan: "I know the location of something, that could cleanse this of all the evil."
Invertin: "That would be a sword, in your gut."
Tiergan smiled.
Tiergan: "You cannot comprehend what I shall do."
Tiergan threw Invertin back, he hit the wall of a building, but he didn't come off, Invertin looked down, he had been impaled on a flag pole on the side of a building. He looked up at range and Tiergan, Tiergan laughed one last time, as Invertin faded into darkness.

The end.

Not happy with this ending, he should have found out sooner then go on for a few episodes knowing Tiergan was evil.

This is not the return of lone wolf. Yet.

I just want to keep this up somehow, this story is one of my biggest things on the net. So, any reviews? Ideas for the next story? Tips? Plot holes?

I wish I could help you, but I just really don't have the time to read all of the story from the start...that sucks because I hate leaving stories go without evaluating them somehow.

I know it's hard when you create something and no one bothers to say anything about it.

I read lone wolf from when you first posted it, Invertin.

I re-did the ending. And now, it is sweeeeet.

i saw the red ants part, i was so hopeing for that change :/
sure, it's not realistic, but are wolfs swinging swords around more realistic? maybe in the next saga of lone wolf that change will happen
