No, but you can edit the heightmap and turn it into a mod-map sort of thing.
If only david had implemented map-specific heightmaps... Oh, the possibilities!!!
Ok

Thanks. Just wondering. Yah, I'd like it if you could change the hillsize, and the other lanform things. That would be nice.

Technically, the heightmap does change the hill size, in fact, it changes the hills themselves. it's similar to the heightmaps used for 3DBlur levels. In fact it's almost completely the same, except it's used for all levels you play.
heightmap?

I am a good map user, but i dont know some things, like the heightmap? is it a console thing? or can you actually use it in map editor? or what?

Neither. It's a file in Lugaru/Data/Textures that defines the terrain for ALL maps played, so it's not very useful for single maps. Essentially, the lighter one part of the heightmap is, the higher the corresponding area will be. Perhaps it's the other way round, but you get the idea.
thanks

If one runs around say after deleting everything in challenge one and saves it as like 'blankmap' you can find some fairly flat areas.
Although i have run into an instance where T sinks into the ground, about halfway up his shins. Is that a bug?

I tried creating new structures with the heightmap at one point. The problem is that if the heightmap is too irregular and slopy, the fighting gets pretty confusing. So, as long as you want to preserve acceptable gameplay, the most you'll get out of fiddling with the heightmap are some changes in the countryside, at the cost of losing compatibility with all existing maps. It may not be worth the trouble.

I found with that if you save the map that goes away. that happens when you change the map Terrain.

you can just type in skybox in the console, and the "ghost" effect goes away, when you sink into hills goes away. type it again to bring the sky back.
