After christmas I'm going to start owrking on my own mod for Lugaru, I need help with several things though, here are my ideas.

It is the year 2031, rabbits and wolves have developed nanobots, holograms, and lots more. You are Turner, named after one of your ancestors, your ship is under attack from wolves, stop the wolf threat and uncover the mystery of the planet Laviarm...

Weapons

Knife= tazerblade, like a tazer but with a spike in the middle.
Sword= I can't think of anything
Staff= Electro staff?

Need help with

Textures, I'm not exactly the best with shading.
Dialouge, I don't know how.
Ideas, what should the sword and staff be? (No lightsabers, this isn't star wars)

What do you think?

Thanks.
Sword= a batton isn't exactly a piercing weapon is it?
Staff= you mean like an electric mace?
BTW nice new avatar

Edit: i got an idea for the sword
metal batton, with plastic handle but the metal is charged!

I can make you any kind of knife you'd like, but good luck modding the sword and staff. You can't change the shape at all.

I've attempted about every kind of tweak, and gotten some weird results, but all you can really do is change the color and/or texture.

I've got a nice little light saber style knife, but you said you don't want SW; anyway it looks like this.

Not sure what a tazer knife would look like, but yoou could put a spike in the middle of this one.

I've also got blood and lightblood as layers separate from the weapons; this allows you to make a weapon and then lay the blood on top.

I'd be glad to share files if you want to try some new things. Coleicedus did nice work on the chainsaw knife, but there's no reason to reinvent the wheel (or knife).

I know what to do with the staff now, but I'm still not sure about the sword.

P.S while typing this I made and tested a staff texture, but I'm having problems, if save it as a JPEG I get colour mess ups. If I don't I can't use the textures ingame. Also, the sword texture is used as the staff texture back-up if you delete the staff texture.

Interesting...

and about that baton idea, have you ever been hit hard with one of the proper Police batons? They can raw blood if swung right.

Ouch, but I'm still not sure what to do with the sword, something sharp, But futuristic...

Also, on the staff I made a cool glow effect going from the bottom of the staff right to the top. I haven't done any work on the knife yet

Edit: Does anyone have an way I can save as JPEG but not get the weird colour thing
Edit2: I fixed it now, the green glow looks like one of those LED lights.
Edit3 (I don't want to double post): I got some screenshots, these are just to show off the glow, infact thats all there is on the staff for now.

I tried using the old lightbloodknife replaces sword trick to make a flanged mace.

What I really wanted was something called a sword-breaker, which is a heavy piece of steel with a square or x-shaped cross section, with a pommel, guard and grip like a sword.

They are also worn and handled like a sword, and are excellent against armor, and can be used to actually shatter most swords.

However, they don't really look like much, so here's what I settled on:

Image This is what I wanted it to look like ingame. Image This is what it actually looked like. Image

Here's one where T has laid it on the rock; with the camera at the right angle, the rock disappears and the mace seems to float.

I was very disappointed in the results; it was a lot of work, and it just wasn't worth it. Plus, you lose your lightbloodknife, and your bloody swords.

I'd like to see screens of your stuff though; sounds interesting.

Works OK with PhotoBucket; maybe it's a problem with Freeweb.

Pretty cool staff. I just wish it was possible to get rid of the "shell" from the model. Keep trying; maybe you'll succeed where I've failed.

Yeah, I like the way the staff turned out. for no apparent reason I just added the place where the battery goes. It's hard to see because I put it one the bottom.

Colicedus, could you try making some futuristic armour?

Your Wish is my command... :)

How ever, what kind...

Cyborg? (mechanical More machine than man.)
Holographic? (Consisting of green and blacks and lines and all.
Dark Eldar? (Very thick Platy and light full body armor)
Jumpsuits? (Suit Close to the skin that it exaggerates the size of most body parts)

Thanks. (I'm always polite, even to my enemies "Thank you for you soft and easy to slice neck".)

Cyborg or Dark eldar.
Perhaps a Cyborg-holographic mix would be good for wolves or something.

Well I have been working on a Dark eldar Sute.
I took a Picture of a unpainted Sprue from the 40k Model Sprue.
It have come out with rather Good results. I added a Cyborg Leg to the sute. It is not like a full metal leg, but more like a Skeletal implant that sticks out of the leg. I still have a bit more work to do on it.

I also think it is annoying that you have to open up the game each time you want to see how something will look.

Wolfire Team! If you are reading this, Help us moders out. In L2, there should be a Moders tool that allows you to see what the modle will look like, with out having to open and close the game.

You know what would be a cool staff style weapon? A energy scythe...now THAT would be cool...you know like Gundam Wing style-looking-ish...something...hey the weapon looks sweet...and since you're modifying the game, you can make it slash people n' stuff...
