NickD wrote:Yah... I just noticed that. When I first made it and rendered it, I had to make the holding part shorter and sharper, and I needed to move it up or down. So I chose up, but I guess it was the wrong way

... I'll upload the updated version in a bit.
Edit: 11:12 - New version
here.
I tried to make lightsaber's once.
Never again...
Thats alot better than mine. Though thats not really saying much.
(Still not a star wars mod.)

what programs do you use for the skins guys? i will say some names and you will rate them, please, i'm doing a personal skin (it's a tribute to Usagi, he rocks!)
1.Photo Filtre
2.Macromedia Fireworks 8
3.Photoshop Elements 5.0
4.Photoshop Lightroom
If you know about another graphics program or a screenshot program tell me, i need a screenshot program.
And....Nick....I don't wanna be a noob, but, about that lightsaber.
1.where are the buttons?
2.That metal part is very dangerous, it could cut the turner's hand
I'm not saying "change it now!!!", i think it's very cool,(lol), but I'm telling you how to make it with "realistic mode"

Well, I'd have to make the handle really big If I wanted to make turner not cut himself

. Overall, he only touches the saber in parts where it's too fast too see

. So I dont see how it's unrealistic. The button is on the left... that really dark square there. And I use Flash 8 for my skins.... Only photoshop CS if it's complicated

. Download the saber, and see it for yourself. Or if you have the old one, download the new one.

It's a texture wrapping, the handle doesn't actually look sharp when you're playing the game.

This will take longer than it should. My dad got rid of everything on the computer so we are back wit the bare basics. Which means every texture, every level, even lugaru is gone.
As you can imagine, I'm ****ing ****ed.

Ouch!
Man, I feel sorry for you. You didn't share any of it with others for testing first?

Always backup working material in relatively short intervals.
Even better: A versioning system on a remote server, like CVS or Subversion. Probably a bit too much hassle in this situation, but handy if you've got it running already.
Welcome to the IT basics

Intentionally (as a punishment or something, or to get rid of a virus of some sort) or unintentionally (digital incompetence)?

Intentionally, the computer kept freezing for no reason and it was as slow as a snail-turtle. Now It's like a cheetah-horse!

So you empty the very files for which the computer exists in order to speed it up. Like you're driving a truck in order to transport several milion dollars worth of goods (completely legal, of course) across the country, and you decide the truck's not moving quickly enough, so you empty it out and arrive there much more quickly than you should've.

I've discovered some good news and some bad news.
The good news is, he backed up most of the files on the computer!
The bad news is, not all of them are backed up. I don't know whether my lugaru is alright or not.
