LONE WOLF 2.2: HOLY CRAP UPDATE!
Chapter 3: A new friend.
Ugh. I hate walking through Lugaru, I wonder how I managed to do it back then. It doesn't matter, because soon my traveling would become alot faster.
Anyway. I came to a huge windmill with a little field behind it surrounded in fences. Inside, were strange creatures, they were skinny and fur less at the head and neck, which was huge, by the way, but they were covered in.. Scaly stuff on the middle, but it was like soft scales.. It's legs were like yellow lizard legs and it's nose and mouth looked like they were made of yellow bone.
I saw a sign outside the windmill that said "Mc. Gondo's Ostrich farm."
"Ostrich?"
I walked down to the farm and knocked on the door, but I hid behind the wall just incase Mc. Gondo wasn't friendly with wolves. The farmer came out, and to my surprise, it was a bear. I wasn't sure how it would react. But, I was optimistic.
"Hey."
Mc. Gondo jumped at the sound of my bark and turned round with axe in hand.
"A wolf!? GET OFFA MY PROPERTY!"
"WAIT!"
He threw the axe at me, I narrowly dodged it.
"Wait! I just want to-"
I dodged another.
"STOP GONDO!"
He stopped.
"You think I'm Mc. Gondo? Oh no, I'm his ostrich importer."
"Wait, you brought those things here?"
"Yup."
"Well, I really need one- Wait, you said this was your property?"
"It is now! Gondo couldn't afford to pay for my ostriches."
"Right.. Anyway, I need an ostrich."
"Why?"
"..Long travels."
I knew where I had to go, but I didn't want him to know, I already knew the consequences for that.
"Alright. 20 gold."
"Gold!? Where the heck am I supposed to get gold? Wolves don't mine!"
"20 Gold pieces."
"Can't I trade it for something else?"
"20 Gol- Actually.. Those robes look pretty nice."
I looked down at myself, these robes were all I had... I could always get some more.. But I didn't want to be riding naked. No matter how much wolves did that normally.
"No, not my robes."
"No robes, no ostrich."
"Egh... Alright, fine, have the robes."
I took off my robes and gave them too him, but not before taking all the stuff out of my pockets and my belt.
"Ah. Finally something to sleep under, alright, you can have one of the ostriches. Just not the one with white tipped feathers. She's mine."
I tied the belt around my waist and put my meager possesions (shards of an old knife, the handle of the old knife, a mini arrow, and 3 bronze pieces I found on a dead rabbit) into the pockets on my belt and climbed over the fence. I looked around. There were black ones and brown ones, but the white tipped feather one certainly looked the healthiest. I picked one with brown feathers and black tips and I saw the bear standing at the gate.
"Have you ever rode an ostrich before?"
"Rode? I was going to use this for carrying my stuff!"
"You were planning on getting more stuff?"
"Yes."
"Right."
The bear climbed over the fence himself and walked inside the windmill. When he came out again he was carrying a wooden seat of some kind and what looked like aload of random ropes.
"Alright kid, here's what you need to ride an ostrich. A saddle."
He put the seat on the ostriches back and strapped it on, the ostrich seemed to understand what was going on and stood still. There were 2 little things dangling off the side.
"And a bridle."
He put some of the ropes around the ostriches head and neck, some of it was dangling off.
"Right, you need to get up quickly, because the ostriches are weaker than they look and might fall over if you take too long."
He lifted his paw up to one of the dangling things on the side. The ostrich panicked as he lifted himself up and waved it's arms around.
"Woah! Calm down!"
The bear pulled himself up and sat ontop of the ostrich.
"And that's how you get on. How to ride, that takes time."
"Show me."
"Alright.. It'll be hard to learn all the tricks."
"Show me."
"Fine."
For the next few weeks, I liked, then hated, then feared, then hated, then liked the ostrich while the bear tried to teach me how to ride. I learned his name and helped him manage the farm, we became friends, and considering I got here because I wanted to go faster, it would have been much faster to walk. But, I would do it all again.
Oh damnit. I'll finish the story later, someone just screwed up the sails again.

PART 4: JEBUS FREAKING GHRIST PART 4!?
*ahem*
Part IV: Perspective
To continue my story, I'll have to tell it from another's point of view. See, the rabbits have been doing well recently, rather than the primitive rock towers and "rocky ridge" they've been building massive cities, thanks to the recent wolf loss of their capital. They now need more than just a king to rule, they have a government, they're not out of royalty yet, the king is still the head of the country, but his lords tell him what's going on and what he should do, then he decides to take their advice or not, in many ways, the lords control the country more than him.
Lord Gerone, one of the most evil people I have ever met, proves this. He only tells the king what he wants him to know, unfortunately, the other lords are oblivious to his trickery. Gerone is Lord of "New Rocky" the colossal city built by the rabbits to act as a new rocky ridge (hence the name.)
The entire rabbit population shares a hatred for wolves and foxes, and any non-rabbit threat in general, even their allies, the bears, still do not have privileges in rabbit cities as they should. Gerone, like most rabbits, is a coward. He fears other species as much as eachother, including half breeds like myself.. And bears. He's the reason bears aren't even allowed into New Rocky.
Anyway, bears have rabbit friends, rabbit friends don't take too kindly to this treatment.
Guard: "Good morning Lord Gerone."
The guard wore armor, but underneath decorative blue and silver shirt and trousers, he had ear wraps and a sword at his side, Gerone wore a grey coat, which he had buttoned up, he wore black trousers and a black double ear-wrap (goes over both ears) with the symbol of New Rocky in gold on it. They stood in a long stone corridor with doors on either side and stairs at either end.
Gerone: "Hm."
He stood with his hands behind his back and looked around, noticing someone coming up the stairs, wearing similar clothes to him, but with the same color scheme as the guard and regular ear wrap.
Gerone: "Ah, ambassador."
Ambassador: "You said you wished to meet me, Lord Gerone?"
The ambassador seemed disgruntled on the surface, but hid it in his voice.
Gerone: "Yes, I'm expecting a certain someone to arrive soon, could you inform the guards of the approaching assassin?"
The guard put his hand on his sword.
Ambassador: "O-.. Of course Lord."
Gerone: "And tell them to let them in without a hitch."
Ambassador: "Lord?"
Gerone: "I wish to speak with the assassin, but I don't want her to suspect."
The Ambassador was silent for a second.
Ambassador: "Of course."
He walked back down the stairs.
Gerone: "I trust you heard the orders."
The guard stuttered, turned to walk one way then quickly retreated the other way. Gerone smirked once he had left.
Gerone: "I didn't think you'd get here already."
A door opened behind him, where a rabbit stood.
Gerone: "What was it they called you.. Arrow?"
Assassin: "Bolt. My name, is Bolt."
Gerone: "Of course."
Gerone calmly turned around to face Bolt, with his hands still behind his back.
Bolt: "What's in your hands?"
Gerone raised his hands.
Gerone: "They're empty."
He put his hands behind his back again.
Gerone: "You wouldn't have gone to all of this trouble for nothing, what do you want?"
Bolt: "A deal."
Gerone: "I'm listening."
Bolt: "You allow bears into the capital, you give them their full rights, and you make sure the king knows what they deserve and have gone through."
Gerone: "That is alot to ask. And in return?"
Bolt pulled out a mini-crossbow and held it to the good Lord's chin.
Gerone: "Ah.. If I go along with this, the bears get their lives and I preserve mine? Everyone wins?"
They were both silent for a while.
Gerone: "How about I change the deal?"
Bolt: "In what way?"
Gerone reached into his coat and pulled out a note.
Gerone: "This note contains something I suggested to the king, a 'bear license'. Anyone who holds these can allow a bear into the city."
Bolt: "I let you live, you give me the notes?"
Bolt took the notes and read them quickly.
Bolt: "No deal, I don't think my friend would consider the restrictions in this freedom."
Gerone: "What is freedom? You tell me that. This is not freedom, we are still restricted. True freedom is only found in death."
Bolt tightened the string on the bow.
Bolt: "Do you want freedom?"
Gerone smirked.
Gerone: "I'm not exactly looking forward to it."
Gerone reached into his coat again.
Gerone: "What about a job?"
Bolt: "A job?"
Gerone: "If you can retrieve an artifact for me, I will give your bear friends their freedom, all of them."
Bolt: "Freedom in death?"
Gerone: "Fortunately for your friends, no."
Gerone pulled another note out of his pocket.
Bolt took it.
Bolt: "What is this?"
Gerone: "All I can tell you is that I want it."
Bolt pressed the bow against Gerone's chin, then pulled it back.
Bolt: "Is there a time limit?"
Gerome: "Get it before anyone else does. Ask around the bar, I'm sure some rumors might come up."
Bolt looked at the drawing again, then put it in her robes and slowly walked backwards out of the door, closing it on the way with her.
Gerone smirked.
Gerone: "And who else lurks in the shadows?"
???: "An old friend."
Gerone's smirk faded, he looked around nervously, looking for the source of the voice.
???: "I'm sure my new apprentice will be glad to hear about that one."
Gerone: "Do you know her?"
???: "Let's just say I've left my mark on Bolt."
Gerone: "Why have you returned?"
???: "Your artifact has a twin, I have it."
Gerone was silent.
???: "I don't need the artifact, you do. You don't need.. That scroll, and I do."
Gerone: "You did tell me to keep it safe, and I have."
???: "I can't be seen, not here. Meet me at old Rocky Ridge."
Gerone caught up with himself and returned to his calmed stance.
Gerone: "I will see you there."
The voice didn't respond.
Gerone sighed and walked into the room next to him, a large sword in it's sheath was displayed on the wall, he reached for it, then drew his hand back.
