lugaru crash prob >_<

Post by Cmyszka » Sat Aug 25, 2007 10:18 pm

ok, whenever i try to start a level now it does as so...

loads
splat death noise
black screen and 'score: 0' in the corner
loads
starts challange 1, but the landscape is way below you and you walk on an invisible surface identical to what it should be like.

I quit it and re opened it and it didn't help. i even re installed the game. what's up? It was working earlier today perfectly.

i thought you pros here would be able to help ^_^

I think it might have something to do with my users. When I re-installed the game I transfered it over and it crashed the same, so i suspected it and put in the new one. It ran fine... I even check it again by switching it back to my old users file and the crash started again.

so... the question it now... is there anyway to recover my profiles? I still never finished those very last few levels and challenges on insane difficulty and I'd rather not start AALLLL over again to get there... :/

I've had that happen, but restarting Lugaru always fixed it. OS?

Mac OSX 10.4, running on a pentium II processor if that makes a difference.

If this is true, then this is probably the problem right here.

User files are known to be corrupted and cause trouble.

Jeff might be right though, but I don't know much about the stability of
"unofficial OSXing".

Wait, Pentium... II? Wow, doesn't Lugaru suck on that?

'unofficial OSXing'?

and yeah... they're building smoe of the new mac computers with those core duo processors now...

and no, it doesn't suck. apps native to windows like MS Word and crud run rly fast.

Now you're confusing me.
You must have misspoke when you said Pentium II, right?
Pentium II processors are like 450 mhz max.

......

That's not enough for Tiger, I just realized.

Let's start this over.
You run OSX Tiger (10.4) on what computer?

Go to the folder and kill the config file- some times random settings can cause the game to crash, and if you delete the config file you will start on the default settings during the next game. If it still crashes, i recommend that you run the program in compatibility mode for Mac and check if it works then. if it STILL doesn't work, but worked before, maybe you added something to the folder that corrupted it.

How on earth could you confuse a Pentium II with a Core Duo?

Anyway, like I said, sometimes user files get corrupted in Lugaru,
and I don't think we've ever come up with a fix for it, sorry.
