Crouch Shift change

Post by MightyWarriorEX » Wed Sep 19, 2007 9:23 pm

I'm very new to the game and haven't even purchased the full version but I have a concern/question. Is there a way to change the crouch button to another button other than Shift? When I'm playing I use it fairly often and after five consecutive presses the game keeps minimizing and the box pops up asking me if I want to turn on Sticky keys. If there isn't a feature to change the button for crouch could this be put into the new Lugaru 2? because that would make me much happier ... and if there is a way to change it, sorry for being ignorant, and could you tell me how!?

Thanks

Edit: Never Mind, I'm an idiot ... please ignore my retarded question.

When you hit shift five times (do it now) click on settings, then click on settings for the sticky keys, under the Keyboard shortcut section uncheck the box that says Use Shortcut.

Go to the data folder in the Lugaru folder. Click the config text (right click and open with wordpad not notepad) where it says

Crouch key:
shift

change shift to whatever, you have to type it in.

Thanks, That's a lot more useful than changing the button Config.

Well one way would be to turn off whatever option that causes pressing shift five times to bring up that dialog…

Another way would indeed be what you're trying to do here.

Go into Lugaru/Data/config.txt and down the bottom of the file are the control settings. It should be pretty straightforward to edit these.

Oh, and make sure to save the file as plain text, not RTF or anything like that.

I can't believe you forgot about the options screen.

Proof yet again, that we are all idiots.

What is worst he beat us with Style...
Usagi is the fastest PSer in the land.
I bet if you left him with Photo shop and his underpants in a thread full of Flame imps and a Quagmire479 in it, he could come out in that Kick ass T armor!

(and I cant wait to see a remake of the armor for L2 with the Bump mapping, the gloss mapping, and all the other mapping that you can (or cant) Think of)

My old man can BS himself out of anything, but this this here Berzerker packing T and a half can PS his way out of anything!

Thanks for the friendly words. Enjoying the Forum and the game quite a bit! Need to start on the mod campaigns already though! Great stuff. Kind of reminds me of Star Fox ... only not as lame as the new ones. Hmm there should be a flying level in the L2 game... Maybe a quick ref to General Pepper or a random fly by of one of their ships ... or maybe not ...

Yes, don't feed me. The only food most forum-goers tend to give me is spam and stupidity, and I'm not a big fan of those.
