No double, posting, no triple posting, and CERTAINLY no quadruple posting.
May I kindly ask you to explore the 'edit' button for a bit, and fix your horrid multi-post?

I would like to see a Buster Sword from Final Fantasy: Advent Children. You don't have to, but it would be really cool. But can you host it at a different site? All the weapons I try to download "have been deleted".

But yeah, a Buster Sword would be awexome.

if you go on lotus 's site you can probably download them.
I had the same problem.

I don't have windows messenger, so I cannot ask Lotus directly, but if Lotus or anyone else knows how to make weapons, please reply or contact.

I'm adding "Write Weapon Making Tutorial" to the top of my to-do list. It'll be here soon.

I'll mention no nicknames, but he's even proved he knows how to edit posts, so... huh?
whoa man, you seem to be alittle obsessive over people posting more than once at a time..

Ok, I'm going to start writing a little later tonight.
I'll try to make it as clear and simple as possible.

It WILL NOT be a tutorial on modeling.
It WILL be a tutorial about getting from finished model/textures to in-game weapon.

I'll be back later (probably) with a start on the tutorial.

oh, okay. Never actually used the forums before

but how would I delete a post? On this post it says I can, but I'm not sure why it doesn't say that on others..

Because your previous posts aren't the newest posts in the thread. Just finished that tutorial BTW, uploading soon.

Lotus Wolf, is it possible to open "David-made" Lugaru models in Blender and edit them? (Probably not, I'm guessing, because someone would have done it before :( )

Quite possible, Brainfart works in reverse, converting .solid to .x, you would then import the .x into Blender. You can't edit characters this way, it screws up Lugaru, and the workaround that rudel came up with seems kinda buggy/advanced to me. Other than that you can edit anything else.

Note that the .x meshes that are made by Brainfart have 3 unique vertices per face, meaning that no adjacent faces share vertices. To resolve this, you have to remove doubles in Blender. Do this first upon import so that stuff isn't screwed up! After that, recalculate normals outside so that the lighting is correct.

Editing characters is possible, but hard. You'd have to hex-edit the vertex- and face-related parts into an existing character, and for that you'd have to know which are the vertex- and face-related parts to begin with. And the number of vertices and faces would have to be the same. Repeat for each LoD mesh.
If I would have skeletons figured out, this wouldn't be an issue. That's not the case right now though.

I'm still working on building this into Brainfart, but it has low priority (Mac OS X support is first).
