It was random. I decided to come and check and see if there were any updates on your progress. I didn't even notice that had been so recent.

Lotus Wolf wrote:Ok, I'm going to start writing a little later tonight.
I'll try to make it as clear and simple as possible.
It WILL NOT be a tutorial on modeling.
It WILL be a tutorial about getting from finished model/textures to in-game weapon.
I'll be back later (probably) with a start on the tutorial.
Could you make a tutorial on modeling at some point? I have Blender, and I've tried using it, but it is just plain confusing - or maybe I just don't know much about modeling, but either way, it would be nice to have something to work from. I'd also like to see work from anyone else who is interested in modeling and weapons in Lugaru, and this could jump start a whole new group of modelers.

There's dozens of tutorials for Blender, and it's not complicated, it just isn't made to be picked up just by downloading the program (It doesn't have a big "Hey click me and I'll show you what to do!" button). Google; Blender Beginner Tutorials, and you'll get a ton of results.

Book

Damn that's a nasty papercut... It's got Orin on the other side, just like you wanted.

Takes about a day to get seriously involved with Blender. Working elegantly is a matter of practice, but that's the case for all suites out there.
Sweet new stuff, Lotus Wolf! I love how you just don't stop. That's how you do it, friends!

The book is so awesome to play with. I was doing Reluctant Assassin and it was hilarious to throw books into enemies.

Yeah, they're all fantastic, can't wait till I see you get your hands on overgrowth. I'm having a hard time thinking of something you haven't already made
