Celias drew his blade and snarled at the Liger. "It's like the other one we fought... they all might be from a single clan or bloodline." He said to Xei, who nodded. "It's likely- same size, appearance, and equipment." Kareem and Osaki growled. "Now, Celias, what's this about encountering another Liger?" Osaki asked. "You never happened to mention there would be Ligers when we came with you?" Kareem asked. "Hey, you wanted to come," Celias said with a shrug.

The liger pounced on Xei, ripping at him with its claws, but Xei rolled backward and kicked it off, sustaining a small scratch to the chest. Kareem swung his scythe at the ligers chest, but it drew its sword so quickly that the blocking movement looked the same as the drawing move. the sword curved after knocking the scythe away and came down at Kareem, who couldn't move his weapon into the swords path. Osaki appeared before him, knifes crossed and locked at the cross-guards, and blocked the strike with a heavy shudder that almost put him on his knees. Celias was behind the liger now, and slashed at the backs of the knees. the fur there was extremely thick and little was achieved, and a leg came back and knocked Celias over. Xei jumped into the air, spinning madly building great momentum, and finally brought the spear down on the ligers head. there was a crunch, but no apparent affect. Xei used the spear to push off from the liger and at the same time stabbed one of its eyes. now the ax came out, and the liger wielded it insanely, trying to destroy Xei, and the others. Xei caught a blow to the shoulder, it was not deep for it had almost missed, but it was still painful. Xei landed on the ground, and Osaki took his place, in the air preparing to attack. He brought his small knives down on the ligers back, at the first and third lumbar. the liger roared with pain and anger as he wrenched Osaki away and threw him. Celias centered the weight of his sword at the tip, and delivered another blow the the back on the knees. this time the liger toppled forward, unable to stand, and vulnerable.

"Let's finish this!" Celias yelled. He delivered a deep stab into the pelvic joint of the liger, jamming the movement of its legs. He used the back of the liger to leap high into the air. Xei charged forward as Kareem brought his scythe down to the ground and prepared a deadly stab, and Osaki hurled his knives at the liger just as Celias, mid-air, pulled out a (dunno what the proper name is) deep East weapon that was like long range nun chucks- it was a very long chain with a weighted end. He spun in the air to gain momentum before the end came down with a huge force on the liger's head, cracking its skull, just as Kareem's scythe slashed the lower vital organs, Xei's spear rammed through the heart, and Osaki's knives sunk deep in the lungs. Celias came down from the sky in a blur of momentum as he delivered the finishing blow, a hard elbow body slam to the neck that just emphasized the killing degree of the blows. He rolled off cleanly as he pulled his sword out and reeled in the chain weight. Osaki pulled out his knives, Kareem jerked his spear out, and Xei put a knee to the liger's stomach and used his spear to lift the huge weight into the air, where he kicked it off the spear. Everyone sheathed their weapons and sat down gingerly, with some kind of injury- Celias was bleeding from his stomach where the liger had kicked him, and his elbow bone had broken through his skin and hung there from the body slam. He looked at it and gave one of his morbid laughs. "I can't even feel it. It's a grotesque and probably maddening injury in terms of pain, and I can't feel it." He laughed again as he lied down on the grass looking up at the almost completely dark sky. Xei was bleeding freely from his shoulder wound. Osaki had received a good cuff to the head that left his ear and cheek bleeding bad. Kareem had actually been stabbed by the liger claws- there were 5 little marks near his ribs all in a row.

Nobody noticed the liger silently stir, roll over, and grab its axe. It wasn't dead. Not yet. Sitting with their backs to him and downwind, no one could sense his approach.

The liger had been nearly paralyzed by Celias, and could only use its arms to move. even so it stayed quiet as it crept over toward our heroes. Xei suddenly remembered the way the other liger had survives a broken neck, a stab through the heart, and the heavy cut that Celias had dealt it. nervously he looked over his shoulder to make sure it was still were they had left it, and barely moved in time to escape what would have been a fatal blow with its ax. as it was Xei still caught a scrape to the forearm. He rolled out of the way and pulled his spear around and brought it down on the ligers neck, there was a crunch, and it fell forward. Osaki quickly moved and slit the ligers throat, then Kareem pinned it to the ground with his scythe, should it move again. "Shit!" Celias said. "Damn right its shit!" Xei said looking at his scraped arm. "Thats gonna leave a bad scar..." Osaki said. Xei grimaced. We better move, either back to the town, for supplies and rest, or continue up the mountain." Kareem said. "Lets go up the mountain, Celias, i have some bandages, and you can relocate that bone and wrap it." Xei said. taking out a few rolls of bandages tossing one to Celias, and wrapping his arm in another.

Celias gave a grimace as he stood up. "Ugh... as if my leg wasn't already a bitch by itself." he muttered. They moved up the mountain side until they came to an area a little higher then the old cat camp. "Let's move some stuff from the cat camp up to here," Kareem suggested, and he went with Osaki to get supplies while Celias and Xei made sure there wasn't anyone- or anything- already camping. Soon they had a pretty nice campsite set up. Night had now completely fallen. A fire was in the center, and a few tents were around it to one side with mesh in between them for support, and two stone slabs kept the wind from extinguishing the fire. Celias had been able to bandage up his wound tightly, and he knew it would be a painful injury to overcome. I might be out of action for a while... and when you're in a mercenary group, that's not the best course of action.

kitzaru had left the place he wanted to camp and followed some tracks that might come from a cart of some sort and ended up at a camp whit some sleeping guys that looked like they had been in a serious fight. he sneaked closer up and looked at a wolf too see if he had any money or gear that he could steal. suddenly a wolf had come up behind him took a choke hold on him (that's xei). the wolf were wounded but had extremly high lvl of streangth. it felt like he could snap kitzarus neck anytime he wanted. he wanted too yell from being scared but the wolf had allready coverd he's mouth thrown him on the ground and tied him up.

(just for clarity's sake, Xei is pronounced Zey, like they, but with the z sound)(also, that was kinda quick... hehehe)

Xei had been gathering firewood, and had seen the thief looking over Kareem. He had silently moved up and restrained the thief. quickly tying his hands, Xei let him fall to the ground. Celias and the others had woken now, and they looked as if they wanted an explanation. "Whats the idea trying to rob us?" Osaki inquired, with a slight kick that turned Kitzaru onto his back, then raised an eyebrow.

kitzaru looked up as he were kicked on to his back and removed the cover from his mouth
. the wolf asked what the kinda idea got in to his mind robing them. "i werent gonna.. i mean. i dident mean to and uhm.. im realy sorry please let me go.... or well you might as well kill me.. ive got no where to go so whats the point in letting me go.. whats going on here anyway.. im confused..." he dident know when too shut up-a knife had been thrown at him and were just an inch from hitting he's head but he were lucky and only he's ear were scratchd. he shouted out in pain."AAAW . WHAT THE HELL ARE YA DOING ARE YOU CRAZY !" then they looked at him again "i mean ill ....just shut up now" they looked away from him and in to the forrest now

Celias stepped over and snarled at Kitzaru. "Are you alone?" he asked as his hand drifted towards a throwing knife on the ground. Xei moved to the edge of the clearing, Kareem with him. "I don't smell or hear anything," he said. "and I don't see any evidence that the area has been disturbed." Kareem gave a nod and moved back. Osaki re-lit the fire, which had extinguished when everyone fell asleep, and everyone grouped around the thief


(I always thought Xei was pronounced Zee )

(simple mistake, it would be easy to see why you thought that. in most words that have 'xei' in them it is usually pronounced 'Zey'. anyway, enough with the grammar lesson )

I'm still wondering where the throwing knife came from...

Throwing knife? A common weapon and spoil found in the RP o: It's like a staple, an unmentioned side-arm people are assumed to carry.
