Well... I was confused when I first saw it. But here's the situation.

I'm fighting a couple of rabbits on level 11, the two on the right hand side from the beginning. I knock the one without a knife down, and reverse the one with a knife, who rolls out of it. When he comes back, I knock him down, run up and see if I can pick up the knife... then I realize, he's still carrying it! But I pick up the knife anyway... huh, okay. Now, since I have the knife I can use it against them. But then I notice that the red screen still shows up, even though I'm not getting hurt. The knife rabbit is still doing the animation even without the knife in his hand. Now, I kill the knife rabbit and rabbit kick the other across the screen. It survives and starts sprinting to the other side to get help. I throw the knife and bullseye it, and go to collect my weapon. But wait... It's not in it! It's floating exactly where i hit the rabbit! It's... strange, to say the least

I'd post a screenshot, but I forget how. So, yeah. If It's been discussed, sorry.

Has this occured more than one time?

Yes. In more than one map

This has happened to me on the original maps, but never user made ones. its also happened in the reverse; me picking up the knife, but not getting it, then doing the knife attack animations without the knife. as for floating weapons, that happens when an enemy is removed from the map, his weapons stays where it was, and is now only and environment object. However, that's not what happened to you, is it? Very strange, i wonder if David will ever patch Lugaru later on...
