So what do you suggest ? I don't totally understood your critic, as I'm french.
The "rough" snow is the slope texture, so in the hills it looks perfect, it's one the most impressive texture. The smooth snow is maybe a bit too smooth, but I can't add imperfection without creating a tiling effect.

i think its awesome! but i saw the snow rocks, and they look a bit too much like the snow itself, maybe a little darker?
EDIT: i retract some of that, they look ok actually, but could stand to be darker, imo

Ok, great news my friends !
Here is the pack : It's still not complete (desert trees, flames, and other details).
But it already enables you to play in HD with great graphics and terrain textures !

It works great with new campaigns, they are now even more impressive !
Just replace the Lugaru data folder named "textures" by this one (make a copy before).
Of course you can use it as a base for Lugaru 1.5.
This pack was made possible thanks to the great cgtextures.com
About 12 hours of work.
I'll make a new thread for the final release, maybe with a video trailer.

I totally forgot to make the skyboxes... I don't know if I really need to make them HD, as they're blurred out.

The skyboxes are taken from FPSBanana. The one that created them have a strange name, but it's in the readme, lol.

Hey, is all of this stuff for Macs? I can't get any of the textures to unzip properly, skyboxes and all.

Strange. I work on mac but I never had an issue with zip creation.
Maybe you should download it again. You'll just have to unzip it, place it into the data folder of Lugaru, and rename it "textures".
