Performance

Post by Guest » Tue Mar 01, 2005 1:11 pm

the game worked just fine with MacOS X 10.3.6 but now, after the update to MacOS X 10.3.7 the performance is sometimes, especially during battles, very bad. The game runs to slow.
I use a iMac G4 800MHz, 512 RAM, GeForce 4 MX 32 VRAM
I play without motion blur and with the highest details.

Now, with MacOS X 10.3.8 it is even worse.

Check your config file to make sure there aren't any large numbers in Detail, failing that... turn some detail settings down.

Did you try repairing your permissions? After updating the Mac OS you should definately do a repair diagnostic. Many times, slowdown is do to tangled permissions.

Now that I have registered Lugaru, I also registered in the forum. It is me, the "guest" who opened this thread.

I still have this problem with the performance.
The game is slow, if I use the finishing punch or if I fight multipile enemys. I repaired the permissions but this did not have any effect.
I play now in the lowest detail setting because on higher settings the game works even slow when I kill just one enemy.

For Nayr again: I use a GeForce 4 MX with 32 VRAM

Sounds like a you should shut off blur as it kicks in for every finishing blow.

Yeah. It seems like the blur effects slow down on garphics card and the cpu. I played it on a g4 tower with a ati rage 16 mb vram card and it runs very slow with motion blur on. You might get some slow down with a 32 mb vram card like with a radeon 7500 or a 9200 but most likely not a lot with a 64-128 mb vram card, though I do not know what the proformice is like on a Geforce fx 5200.

I play on a GeForce 5200 Fx Go 32mb with high detail and blur. No slowdowns here.

Sorry, but if you would have read my first post, you would know that a play without motion blur.
When I turn motion blur on, the game runs extremly slow during battles.
