weird behavior

Post by Guest » Mon Mar 07, 2005 1:04 pm

I've been having a problem periodically where the game behaves strangely. When I start a challenge level (currently level 8, I think), the scenery is...off. Hard to describe. Almost like the characters are floating above the scenery, or one level is superimposed on top of another. (In this case, I think it's the scenery from level 1 showing up in level 8).

This has happened several times, and I have to reinstall to fix. Any way to trash the preferences without having to go through this?

Oops. Level 8) should have been "level 8."

Do you have debug on?

Nope, not on. I know because I've reinstalled the app. Also, I've had debug on previously, so I know it's off (checked the config file...it's pasted in below). I'd post the screenshot if I knew how.

The config.txt file in the Data folder has all your preferences, and if you throw it away then Lugaru will rebuild it with default settings.

I've had that problem before. Reinstall it.

I've also had this problem with the scenery. I find though that if i just quit the game and restart it its fine.

Don't reinstall. When you start with the messed up scenery, it's level 1. Also, does the screen start black and you hear the sound of a bunny dying with the really short death cry? Like when you explode him? Then just restart the game.

Try running the game with the lowest settings (i.e. 0 overall detail, 0 damage effects, and 0 velocity blur), just to see if it has some effect.
