The Seven Tasks Review

Post by Aspen » Mon Feb 15, 2010 7:40 pm

The Seven Tasks was a pretty fun campaign. Not the best, but it was good for a couple plays.

The bonus level, on the other hand, can be played over and over and over and over and over without getting bored. It is the single best level I have ever played in Lugaru. It is fantastic.

Last level in campaign doesn't work. The zombie bonus level. Even crashes game. Anybody get it to work?

*EDIT Ok, found Lotus Wolf's fix. Thanks, Lotus. viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4633&start=135#p93448

No problemo.

In the future, be a little more specific. All you have to do is put the map files in Lugaru>Maps, and the main.txt in Lugaru>Campaigns.

The Seven Tasks is awesome!!! It was the last mod I downloaded, but in terms of level design, I think it's the best ever! (Empire has the best story, in my opinion, but it's close.) The monastery level is the single best level in Lugaru ever, and the zombie one is really awesome and creative.

The Desert Sandstorm level was so hard, though! I had to play through it a couple times on my Easy account, and memorize the way to go, before I could finish it on Insane (without the minimap).

One thing I don't get is the mystery element: we're supposed to try to figure out who hired him? But isn't he part of that Order of the Seneschals or whatever?

If you're still having problems, you could try the Lugaru Downloader (http://lugarudownloader.matto1990.com/) if you haven't already.

Hey, I can't get through the Desert level.
Any hints on which directions to go?

It's a bit difficult I know. If you're playing on anything lower than the hardest difficulty you should make ample use of the radar.

To start: If you're playing without radar then it's a little more difficult (playing it on an easier difficulty and learning where everything is can help). Essentially the oasis you start in is a box. Traveling straight out of one of the corners of this box (I believe the one nearest you) will lead you to a group of trees. From there you should move away from the start point until you find a sign post pointing you in the right direction.

After this rough start it should be relatively easy to find your way. I almost always made a sign post pointing in the direction you should travel. If you see a dead rabbit then you're on the right path.

Hello, how can I win the "City - Outside" map? I killed everyone there, but I still can go to the next map, what do i have to do to activate the trigger to play the next map?

You need to enter the city by the door if I recall correctly.
