Re: New Armor Textures
Hey guys, I'm back with another armor texture!
Wornout Armor
Don't let the look of it fool you, the damage you see has occurred over hundreds of years, this armor is still tough, and with a chainmail suit underneath, you can't go wrong!
This is the product of my tinkering with textures in Blender, I think it looks great. What do you think?

Sweet!
So what did you do exactly? Did you make materials to then bake them into a UV texture?

Right you are, rudel.
Re: New Armor Textures
Instead of just making an image with various textures laid onto them?
'cuz texture baking is a great deal more difficult.

Well it works for me, but I'd like to hear some advice from you, Stromboli, as your textures received a much better response than mine.

Re: New Armor Textures
Lotus Wolf, to me it seems overly complicated how you achieved that look, personally if i where trying to achieve that appearance i'd make the entire thing in gimp, utilizing the burn tool, along with some grunge brushes you can download online. the way you explained it, it sounded like there wasn't much room for customization, which gimp would allow you to do

I'm not good at explaining things, it's not so difficult or less customizable then gimp.

Re: New Armor Textures
Have you or Stromboli posted any kind of tutorials? because that would be great. I'm a good hand with photoshop, but I don't know how to work with the textures to create the kind of thing you guys have made.

Re: New Armor Textures
*cry* Only two armor textures. We need some really neat armor, like this:
Hmmm... yes, Turner wearing that would be very nice-a.
