A model of a ninja rabbit

I want/need the model of turner from lugaru.
However, I understand the model was lost.
So I thought of modelling turner myself. But for this I need good references.
Front and side of turner will do, and should be without perspective, if that is possible.
Also a reference of the texture might help.
I want to do this to make a short CG movie. Maybe it will be usefull to have a turner model for other things.
However, I am not sure how much wolfire likes the idea of me making a turner model. I am trying to do this to contribute to the wolfire community(and will be glad to get exposure for my own game, if I make this short CG movie. To be honset. But thats not important).
So I need the resources, and I need a green light from wolfire to do this.
I am not sure I will be able to make the movie I want, but I hope that I will at least be able to create a good useable model.
Do you have anything to say? Maybe I am missing something?
What do you think?

Here's the blog post with the model that was planned to be used for Lugaru 2:

Not quite a side view, but maybe good enough.

Also, what program are you using? A cookie if it's Blender. :P

I wonder if ninjas would be willing to provide the model he made for OG? I think he's got one. only reason it's not in game I think is the animation editor isn't up yet. (this is pretty much jumbled memories of a conversation and speculation I think)

Thanks, I can try to work with that.

Edit: I am using lightwave. :/
But my friend is using blender. Though, I wanted to do this movie myself.

Hmm, this is what I got for now. It ain't so pretty, but I think it will be sufficient for the short movie I want to create.
The biggest mistake I made was starting to model without doodling first how the head should look. So the head is kind of amorphic looking.
Oh well...
Thats the WIP:

Looks good!

One thing; it looks maybe a bit too round. The jaw should be a bit more pronounced.

The model for Turner in Lugaru isn't lost. It's right there in the game as a SOLID model and you can easily convert it to a COLLADA model with Brainfart.

Here is a Blender project with an oversized Turner inside. You may want to remove duplicate vertices and recalculate normals. The UV map should be intact, if I recall correctly.
