So I just recently upgraded my laptop to Snow Leopard, and now I'm having major issues with the Lugaru UB. If blurring is enabled, the screen freezes as soon as the effect happens, but the game keeps playing in the background (or at least it sounds like it does...). Also the key bindings for weapons no longer work. If I am holding a knife, clicking the mouse button will throw it instead of slicing, and I have no control over whether the knife is sheathed or if I'm carrying it. I also can't pick up weapons unless attacking an enemy near by. I will probably just reinstall and see if that fixes anything.

EDIT:

I was able to fix the key bindings in the config file. I don't know what changed them, but once I did that, everything started behaving correctly again.

How exactly does the Mac "crash"?

Devilsclub, giving false or inadequate information whilst testing a game is just a hassle for everyone involved. If your dad does in fact have a mac in his office, and it does turn off when you start Lugaru, and you have downloaded the new version; then you need to tell us everything about the mac (ie: system specs, mac version, RAM, CPU, etc.), you need to tell us what you did from installing Lugaru to initially running Lugaru, and you need to tell us exactly what happens when it "crashes". I highly doubt the mac simply turns off.

Runs very well, with one major exception:

If I have blur effects on, it freezes every time I knock an enemy out.

Without blur effects, everything seems to work fine. It goes into slow-mo like normal.

Here's my setup:

MacBook v.4,1

Mac OS 10.6.2

2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

4 GB RAM

Boot ROM Version: MB41.00C1.B00

I believe this is a Snow Leopard issue as I started having this problem when I upgraded from 10.5 to 10.6.

Love it, but any word on the registration key fix? I can't really play it until this is mended.

I am running Lugaru on a MacBook Pro (Early 2008 with 4 gigs of ram). Switching to any "square" resolution from the default 1024x768 causes the program to crash upon restart. However, while the app loads the selectable widescreen resolutions, it will display the game in a relatively small box in the bottom left corner of the screen while a striped red pattern flows upwards behind it (during regular gameplay, the border is black). For some reason the resolution of 1024x640 correctly fills the screen, while the too-large 1920x1200 causes the app to crash on reload (my maximum is 1440x900, which doesn't appear as a selectable resolution).

---

At the stage where Turner means to take the raider's knife, the knife began exhibiting some uncharacteristic behavior: glitching around the ground, then floating up as if pulled by invisible thread. Then the game crashed.

So.
I played it with an Ibook G4.
The only trouble I had was that I couldn't make the debug work even if I change it to "1"
