How do open source companies avoid harmful contributions and find the useful ones? Because wikipedia is open source, I can modify anything I want. But what happens if someone deletes, adds bad content, modifies useful content ? What does wikipedia do to prevent that ?

I am quite surprised that after the source release there were no major modifications for Lugaru made
I understand that making code clean is the top priority, but I still wonder if there are any major modifications coming.
Keeping track on Lugaru Experimental now, it updates quite often
