i did not look very hard but did david put a release date on this game? and multiplayer is confirmed correct? up to how many people can be online? can we chose our species? (im gonna be a rabbit anyway)

Are you talking about Overgrowth? If so, there IS no release date, it's much too awesome for a release date. (At least they want to make it as awesome as possible)

thanks. ya i just got unlazy and looked up the faq. they release when they want, co-op (number of players is i guess undetermined) and all the species are playable yes?

They are focusing on making the rabbits the primary species to begin with, but with modding capabilities as flexible as they are, anything will be playable quickly, even if the devs don't release it themselves.

i never thought of that, then my dream of playing a mountain goat will come true!

A little under 2 years, I believe. Iknow this because there are 84 weekly betas and there are 52 weeks in a year.
