Well, because I noticed blender had some new features since last I checked many moons ago, I wanted to see if I could figure it out - I have to say I thought it was about time you could paint on the model in blender, and now they even have projection painting. All in a FREE package.

I based a slideshow on this - just flip through the jpg's yourself with picture viewer.

Here's the C4 rabbit OBJ, and a modified import_obj for blender (put it in ~/scripts , wherever the import_obj.py original is - the script is not vital, just may help later):

That together with baking materials into textures is very powerful indeed.
