After some modding and pointless fiddeling I found a way to make a throwing sword, which is a remodel and retexture of a throwing knife.

1.download some sword files of lotuswolfs website.
2.the file formats for swords are jpg and knives png so you need to convert the image files to png first, and second you should rename the lightbloodsword with lightbloodknife etc..
3.find the model (SOLID) file for the throwing sword you downloaded and rename it Throwingknife(exactly like its written)
4.backup your old texture and solid files
5.Finally, replace your old short and useless throwing knife with a throwing sword!

Ive uploaded a sample for you guys, notice how its named lightbloodknife and is png! I hope you enjoy it because I worked hard on perfecting the method.

Edit: For the uninitiated: Usagi did stuff like replacing .solids with other .solids like 5 years back. He also made cool screenshots. levbot also engaged in that kind of thing back then. The difference merely being that they didn't have custom weapons.

Ramroom, I'm sorry I wasn't upfront with you, but replacement modding was pretty much the first thing everyone's tried. Nowadays, you can get way past this. The sourcecode of Lugaru is available, there's modding tools out there and all that.

But you've widened your own horizon, so that's a nice achievement.
