I've been playing the lugaru linux demo - it will run perfectly and then suddenly quit out at an unpredictable point with "Segmentation fault". Is there anything I can do to prevent this happening?
Thanks!
Edit:
Whoops, probably best to let you know what my set up is:
Slackware-current: X.org 6.8.2, ati linux driver 8.16.20, over 512 MB ram, P4 1.2 GHz - any other info required?
Lugaru Linux - Segmentation Fault
It's probably either the video card drivers or bad ram.
ATI is known for crappy drivers.
I currently have an ATI Radeon 9000 Pro 128 and I run Ubuntu Linux 5.10 Breezy Badger, so I know how crappy they are. In fact, when I was helping to beta test Lugaru, I came across this issue:
https://bugzilla.icculus.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2338
I've purchased an nVidia GeForce 6600GT 128... It should be here tomorrow. Hopefully it will be much better. I'd love to try Luminocity!

I'm run memtestx86+ without problems, so I don't believe that's the problem. While I agree that video cards are buggy, no one else seems to have run into the problem. I've submitted to bugzilla and we'll see what happens - maybe I just won't be able to run Lugaru!Chameleon wrote:It's probably either the video card drivers or bad ram.
