A similar, yet easier, tactic would be to simply charge your enemy with attack button held down. Let go of neither button and smash their teeth right out of their jaws. Simple, fast, effective.Flamespike wrote:Heres how to affectively use the staff.
step 1: Grab a staff (Derp)
step 2: alert your enemy
step 2.5: RUN!
step 3: run a bit ahead of your enemy, and then stop.
step 4: HOLD the attack button AND CROUCH
step 5: when you trip your enemy, quickly stand up and then just press and hold attack to smash his sorry @$$ into the ground

Re: Staves
Hi,
This is one of the most easy game I have ever seen.In the game I like the weapons which are used.Because the weapons are to advanced. The actions in the game are marvelous. This game is a nice game but the only thing in the game is too simple.

Re: Staves
It's more fun to sneak up behind them and do the closest thing to a sneak attack with the staff.
And by that I mean STAND UP AND SMAAAAASSSHH

Re: Staves
Does this mean that there is no actual sneak attack for the staff? I haven't been able to discover one. The very first time I played, I suspected Turner would choke the opponent to death from behind with the staff. Instead I merely swept his feet out from under him. Not satisfactory.invertin wrote:[...] closest thing to a sneak attack with the staff. [...]

Surprise Skull Fracture is always fun, provided it doesn't actually hurt anyone.

The choke thing would be cool, for sure, or a more fancy, unique spine breaker flip using the staff.Aspen wrote:Does this mean that there is no actual sneak attack for the staff? But yeah, there's no special staff sneak attack. Still, I do enjoy sneaking up behind and standing up for the last step, swinging the staff into their head as they freeze for a second.
If you're playing as a fast moving character, you can just run right up behind them and whack 'em. HAH! ...doesn't work so well if your hero character is a slow runner, though.
I'm guessing there will be some good animations for OG, especially with all the hammers and such.

Re: Staves
I love the staves. Nothing warms me more than smashing my foes to the ground with a blood curdling smack and then watching them fly up soooo high and then watching them fall to the ground so hard that it shacks your insides So yes, they are pretty easy to use and I too could kill a wolf in four secs tops but I think they are a great addition to the game.
