2 New Features I'd Like to See

I'd love to see a random spawning feature that, on a timed interval, spawns new enemies on the map as though you were in map mode and pressed p to set a new one then turned off map mode. They could spawn within a certain radius of the player.

I'd also enjoy increased enemy number from 9 to however many I damn well please to put down.

I'm not sure how to do any of that as I'm not much of a programmer anymore.(and never was, yay for QBASIC!)

Well, Wolfire is no longer updating Lugaru or adding anything, it's pretty much been a finished game for a while; however, they did release the source code recently, so it's possible for a third party (like any modder or coder) to make/add whatever you want.

Increasing enemy numbers is trivial. The survival mode you mentioned isn't too difficult to implement.

Yes, I know they are no longer updating it, and I only posted because the source code is now open and adjustable.

If you want zombies, you can press CTRL+e (or was it shift+e) to ressurect a dead enemy when you have debug on. It dies in one hit.

49 rabbits at the same time can lead to segfaults (crashes) in fights. The code has to be improved to deal with that. Haven't debugged it yet, no idea where it could break.

The good news is that the map load / save code is robust enough to actually save and load maps with as many rabbits as the value for maxplayers in Constants.h allows. The bad news is that loading a map with more than maxplayers rabbits leads to a segfault.

Yeah, Rudel, a lot of that is probably an optimization issue. Technically, most computers should be able to handle upwards of 100 rabbits at once without a crash (but likely some severe lag). I think there's likely a memory issue somewhere, perhaps caused by the 9000 line game update code.

That is just great now Lugeru will be the best imagine if all weapons that lotus made are in the same game or a Lugaru City cool.
