Here's a pile of ideas I have been making for days:

Melee:
#1: Blocking/throwing while on ground from falling.
#2:Throwing furniture/items.
#3: Sneaking that actually allows you to get right behind your opponent.
#4: Wolves should make Players/NPCs bleed when hit.

Weapons/Armed Combat:
#1: Add ranged weapons. (Bows, rifles, etc.)
#2: The sword block should be able to block other swords.
#3: The swords cut invisibly into NPCs if standing close.
#4: Blood should start as a big catscratch and then pour and spurt.
#5: Blood does not appear on swords.
#6: Throwing weapons at enemies should come back like in Lugaru.
#7: Players should be able to duck under sideways/diagonal slashes.
#8: Slashing in air.
#9: Players being able to throw while armed, as NPCs can, but players can't
#10: Dog Knife, Dog Sword, Rabbit Catcher, Dog Hammer, Bastard Sword, Cat weapons, and the Macuahuitl weapons don’t work. PLEASE FIX.

Editor:

#1: Indoor areas via teleports at doors.
#2: A wander mode for NPCs so you don’t have to node each and every one of them.

1 - There are better games for using rifles. I'd like Overgrowth to focus on what it's best at - awesome melee combat.

3 - Is this a bug report or suggestion or what?

10 - That's not a bug, but an omission. There are no animations for those weapons so far. Making animations would take time away from coding, and right now David seems to be working on AI.

Well I was thinking for the rifles like a kind of muskety thing. Kinda like the Ottoman Empire ones.
Maybe you could flip them and have melee with the buttstock??

#10 I didn't know about. Just asking, and thanks for the help.

A new idea:
The bots should be more aggressive. Most of the time they stand for a minute, then attack.

The wolves should be less powerful. Once finished with the game, Wolfire will have Tigers, 2x the size of wolves.

alright dude. either you don't understand that the game is still in ALPHA, or you don't understand that the game is still in ALPHA.

half of the things you said were originally in lugaru and will for sure be implemented into overgrowth. cmaaan, cmaaaan!

Enthusiasm is good, but reporting things that don't work in an ALPHA version is quite silly, unless it is a real bug. New people should also know that the game will be like 90% moddable, so stuff can be added in after the game is finished.

Common sense is also quite cool, use it.

I only played the demo of Lugaru. But it's good to know that "half" the stuff I'm suggesting will most likely be in the game.

well it's highly recommended that you pay the 10 dollars and purchase lugaru, it will give you a great understanding of what is to come in overgrowth.... plus it's just an awesome game.

Or you could ignore them and post more stuff. :P Lugaru is nice, but I wouldn't be surprised if there's a Lugaru-to-Overgrowth conversion eventually.

What I'd love to see is when you punch or kick somebody in the face, you can see spittle particles spray. I think that would make the punches/kicks appear a lot more powerful.

And teeth like, in Lugaru. And when someone's head hits a wall or a rock, blood spatters on it.

Yes, hard hits and impacts would generate little teeth. They're kind of hard to see, but sometimes they'd fly right at the camera and you'd be like "Holy shit! Was that a tooth?"
