Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Ok, so I've finally got this game ... and I have no clue what I'm doing ...
How do you actually make some cash? do you just pick everything up that isn't bolted down?
Are you breaking into people's houses and murdering them in their sleep? Then robbing them blind?

Well, you could. But until you get your Speechcraft leveled and perked a bit, prices for junk aren't good.
Really, the easiest way is to go find some bandits, kill their asses and sell the stuff they had. Don't save any food, it all sucks. Sell that. Sell potions you don't think you'll be using. If you're looking for bandits, on the way to Riverwood if you follow Ralof after escaping Helgen you might spot some wooden planks or poles in the ground going uphill off the road. If you follow that trail you'll come to Embershard Mine. Just go in, kill everything, take all the valuables and leave. Go sell the stuff in Riverwood and viola: Money.
There are some dungeons like that which refill after a while. You could go get a woodcutting axe, and work for Hod. He'll just tell you to cut firewood and then you sell it to him. Not ultra lucrative, but it's easy and monotonous work.

So you want Gold, ey? Wait 'til you come to "Blackreach". There, you will see your inventory being packed with magically-enchanted weapons, items and jewelry to the brim. Make sure you use the elevators that lead back up to the surface though, they're considered as Checkpoints.
It's pretty far into the main-story line though, so you need something to get you along until then.

When it gets to the second bit (the part from the game intro section) I just fucking lost it.
Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Hahaha. When he got to the Character Creation part, I couldn't fucking hold it any longer.

Did you edit this to remove ambiguity before anyone replied?Renegade_Turner wrote:

I don't remember. You mean the bit in brackets? I just thought that which bit was "the second bit" needed clarification. I don't really recall when I did it or whether or not I edited it.
Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Hm, there's not footer on that post saying it was ever edited.

Yeah, but those only show up if it's been edited after a subsequent post has been made.

Yeah cause I thought I saw it earlier where you had said something along the lines of
When it gets to the second bit (the execution) I just fucking lost it. or something like that, not sure I remember correctly but I did think it was a bit ambiguous.

Taking into account that the member is not part of a "moderator" user-group, which I believe everyone in the Preorder-group is since the mega-spam-nuke earlier this year.Renegade_Turner wrote:Yeah, but those only show up if it's been edited after a subsequent post has been made.
... speaking of which. Why is my Preorderer-logo beneath my avatar removed? I'm still in the group, technically, it's just that the image is removed.Jeff wrote:Phil and I came up with a neat solution -- all Overgrowth preorders now have the power to authorize or deauthorize new people's posts so hopefully with that volume, we can crowd source it pretty effectively. I smell a conspiracy...or a sitcom...I can't tell these days, those two smells have been confusing me of late...I think I may have caught something during my stay in Belize.
Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
yeah, what's up with that? I can still get on the SPF, but I'm tryin' ta represent, here...Freshbite wrote:... speaking of which. Why is my Preorderer-logo beneath my avatar removed? I'm still in the group, technically, it's just that the image is removed.
Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Speakin' of represent, brother. We both in da "Spam Police" yo. We should be getting some credit dawg.
That hurt my brain.
Err... could that be the reason though? It doesn't seem to be that many people that has this problem. (and I'm too lazy to ask Jeff about it ...)

Maybe you're in a different group or something? like if you joined spam police maybe it took priority over Overgrowth preorder? you could try demoting spam police.
