Favorite Movie Music
Orite, well, I'm throwing a thread out so you guys can help me collate some of the greater film scores put to paper.
At first, I was personally going through some of the better Horror soundtracks out, y'know, curiosity and whatever... Anyways, it occurred to me that you guys always have like... ugh... opinions and, yeah, so maybe you'd like to put them here.
Sigh.
I'll start with a couple of my favorites:
Bladerunner - Theme
Probably my favourite movie theme ever.
The Fifth Element - Diva Dance
I've probably posted this before, but it's so awesome it deserves a repost.
The Thing - Theme
This is what got me started on movie themes in the first place.

[Spirited Away] Umi
(Couldn't find a video)
[Spirited Away] - Itsumo Nando Demo
[Evangelion 2.22] Shiro Sagisu - Robe des Champs
[Little Miss Sunshine] Devotchka - How it Ends
(The best for the end, this movie has an instant academy award winner score)
The Disappearance of Suzumiya Haruhi - READY?
LOL too much anime, that's weird for me.

I don't know about the actual movie, but this song by E.S Posthumus was used in the trailer for the second Sherlock Holmes movie.
As for actual music in movies: (Right-click and Open in a New tab)
(Actual titles and authors may differ)
In general, anything by Hans Zimmer is fucking legendary.
Edit: What the fuck am I doing, how could I forget this?

Speaking of the epic Sherlock Holmes music, how about that plus Mozart?

Re: Favorite Movie Music
Single best piece of perfectly-fit atmospheric music I've ever heard. Then again, everything Thomas Newman has ever written for a film has been brilliant. Here are other pieces of his:

I think everyone who has seen Jurassic Park has a 'flight over water' trigger for the ending theme. I remember drunkenly singing it at a bus stop with some random strangers after a night out - not sure how we got started (possibly a phone theme!).
