Megaupload.com and it's founder

Post by kehaar » Sat Jan 21, 2012 5:00 pm

 Ok, so there was a big bust last week of the filesharing site, and I never used it, but the picture at the top of this article made me laugh. Good luck fighting the courts, Mr. Dotcom.

He barricaded himself in a panic room with a shotgun, so they sent 76 officers to arrest him.

Yeah, I bet the cops were worried they were going to run into rich gamer with an FPS Russian hobby and like, a rocket launcher or some crazy minigun fed by a backpack full of ammo.

I guess it's possible he was suspicious it wasn't real cops-- like it was some gangsters yelling that they were cops...

does look like he was under some delusions about how untouchable he was. Well, I guess he can afford some lawyers.

if I was that rich I would never let myself get caught that easily, he could've used some better security consultants.

If I was that rich, at least three of you would have died to get me there.

That's a great idea! Very little competition in that area.

If I was that rich and CEO of a business that was knowingly being used for piracy in this super anti-pirate political environment (SOPA, PIPA, ACTA), I would have retired with style in a country with no extradition laws.

I've always been a strong advocate of secret escape tunnels not shown on blueprints of the house that lead to the dock where your yacht is for get away purposes.

Doesn't matter if you get the money illegitimately or legitimately, that is kinda a deal breaker for my multi-million dollar mansion.

I'd totally live like a bond villain every day (seems like he tried and failed ... or succeeded because he got caught :? )
