What program & language is Receiver made?

Post by Stepper » Mon Jul 16, 2012 7:27 am

I am wanting to be a game developer myself, to be preferred a Indie developer, so what program & language is Receiver made? I am learning Java right now but that one sucks ram and the processes of the cpu.

(I don't have the game I have just seen videos about it)

Probably one C-based language, perhaps C++. However, the language alone won't necessarily make your program run that much faster.

I disagree. Receiver is one of those games where part of the game is figuring things out on your own; they even included some help in the in-game in-story tapes. Yes, this isn't fun to all gamers, but a small (low production cost) game like this can sure be specified to gamers like me. I'd hate it if there was some super-explanatory tutorial in-game. If someone posts super-explanatory videos that are easily accessible out of game, then everybody's happy

Yup. I launches using an old Unity version. Hence why an upgrade is certainly in order.
