Wolfire Gaming Session [D:]

Post by MrOtton » Sat Sep 01, 2012 5:32 pm

Hey :)
I thought this would be a nice idea, since the OGWeekly After-Show party was quite fun :)
So I thought we could maybe find a fixed time for that (just for fun :D ).

The next session is on Sunday, Oct 7, 5:00 pm GMT
We will play AirBuccaneers V 0.61
on the LC2 South Side Server

Games:
You can suggest them below
I thought of
AirBuccaneers
Honourable Gentlemen
Sub Rosa
Splat Death Salad
A New Zero
ArmA II: CO
DayZ
Hedgewars
[...]

Time:
Monthly! (mostly)

I don't think that we can start this week, but maybe next sunday...
I will anounce the game here and in the IRC before it starts.
Maybe we need a powerful host, depending on the game...

Just say if you'd like that and/or maybe suggest a better time.
As I said before: just leave suggestions here :)

Should add Splat Death Salad. I'll try to think of some others.

Arma II or DayZ would be fun, for those that have it. Even for us who don't, it'd be fun to see videos of you guys' antics and adventures.

Agreed. I do await the day that Day Z becomes standalone with anticipation. I *will* get it at some point.
Planetside 2 might be a fun game, but of course that's still closed at the moment.
There is of course always Natural Selection II, which everyone who has preordered Overgrowth before [some specific date] has.

Oh, and minecraft maybe. The server I frequent has been teetering near being the Wolfire community's "official" server for ages now, rivaling Freshbite's server.

Um.

Yeah, so far Honourable Gentlemen and such seem to be the best/easiest choices.

I support the idea.

However, that'd be at... 4 AM Monday for someone like myself (who has to be on one of the more extreme end of timezones), so I guess I won't be looking into it. Ah well.

Well, that's sad... :( I don't know how to solve that, I think we can't do it much later or earlier... Or what do the others say? :D

I believe that hosting a Splat Death Salad game is as network intensive as watching a Youtube video and it's graphics are easy-peasy, so that would be a good road at first.
Haven't played Sub Rosa, but it seems like it should do ok as well.
