I'm sorry, I have not heard of this Virus before. The only possible solution I can think of is to reformat your PC. I'm sure that's the last thing you would want to do, but sometimes that's the only solution.

Sorry I can't be of any REAL help.

Thanks! My mum found a way to restore the system back to march 1 without the virus being able to block it somehow, and it seems to have disappeared. But our fingers are still crossed, and if it seems to still be in the computer, then I will try these other methods. :3

If she reverted to a restore point from before the virus was downloaded, it can't possibly exist.

A restore point's basically a save of the state your computer was in when you made it. If you revert to it, anything that's on your harddrive and any process that's run since the restore point was made will basically not have ever existed.

Yeah, system restore is generally a pretty great way to fix nearly any problem at the cost of wiping out any new files made on your computer in that period. This is why it's wise to have regular restore points.

Malwarebytes is good, and if this happens again and you cant open system restore, boot windows in safe mode. If you are a little more computer savvy, win patrol is also a great program. Since I got Winpatrol and Malwarebytes, no more viruses.(I used to get a bunch from watching jellyfish porn)
