Lugaru 2...

Post by Mike_Cuzins » Fri Jun 23, 2006 7:13 am

 I would really like to help with Lugaru 2! I dont know who to see though. What I really want, is to model a horse for turner to ride, and a bow and arrow he can shoot. that would be so cool.

No horse, since there are not going to be any normal mammals in the Lugaru world. If you are interested in helping out though and you're good, we could certainly use some more models.

Really? What kind of models do you need? I do a little 3D modeling.

Random furniture, rocks, or whatever. Since you're not being paid, you guys can make whatever you want and if it's high quality, optimized, etc. then maybe we'll use it.

.3ds format please. As for polycount, as long as it is reasonable and well optimized. It really depends on the object.

Ok, easy enough, and texture resolutions?

Hmm, whats something I can make...

A tree stump? (from a fallen tree?)
a barrel?
a treasure chest?
a potion vile?
A log/stick/tree branch?

hmmm..

Those are all good choices. The higher res the texture the better. It will be dynamically down sampled based on user preference and LOD optimizations.

I think I have blown the polygon limit. there are about 1,500 polygons :(

i blew it cos i was using a NURBS program called rhino...

Not bad 8)

No games without barrels and crates!

Oh, while speaking of that... Reminds me of Garry's mod for HL2... Will you be able to carry stuf around? :F

this time i will make it in 3d max, so i don't get carried away :D

I can make one with <140 polygons, i will see how it turns out.

(they arent exactly incredibly hard to make)
