Definitions are defined by how we interpret words, not by how dusty books or internet pages pretending to be dusty books tell us they're defined.
So a knee-jerk reaction is basically going 'rawr' when you should've gone 'hm'? Okay.

I googled this patriot act thing.
It smells fishy.

I'm not a native speaker, so I have to check the dusty books to know the meanings. I mean, colloquialisms are fine and all, but I don't want to use English in the exact same way people use it on the internet. I might end up thinking that "lol n00b go get cancer n00b" is an appopriate response for someone disagreeing with you.

Oh, absolutely, I agree, don't go using internet english at people, even on the internet.
I was actually referring to all verbal communication as a whole, basically, since it's an organically-formed communication method and not at all as digitally defined a process as dictionaries make us think.
But perhaps that's a bit moot.

Stop spouting bullshit, please. Maybe you think you're trying to be funny, but the way you casually insult women makes me depressed, and makes you a jerk.

I hate to say it, but that's kind of right...

HEAR ME OUT M'KAY?

It's true that women get raped more then men, in prison men get raped for obvious reasons.

So a man fearing that he's going to be raped in prison is the same as a women fearing she'll be raped on the sidewalk.

Oh man, don't start a shitstorm, my umbrella is practically ruined from all the recent shitstorms.
I'm ordering another shipment of popcorn .gifs, at the very least, let them arrive before starting another shitstorm.
