Requires:
- Medpack Hotspot
- Overgrowth a202 or Newer
Details
What the player sees:
1. The first camera angle is in a position that hides the player character from view.
2. It then shows the character patching themselves up with no wounds and full health.
Behind the scenes:
1. In the first camera angle, the player character is positioned at a healing hotpot (downloadable in SUMLauncher). The camera cannot see the player because the healing hotspot should be out of view.
2. In every other camera angle, the player character is in view after visiting the healing hotspot, without injuries and with restored health.
Advantages to this method of healing the player character:
1. Much prettier then a hotspot and some text saying "You are healed".
2. Medpack can only be used once this way.
3. Dialogue editor is fun to use (for me at least).
4. Useful after a particularly wounding fight that the player must overcome in the beginning of a level, as to keep the rest of the level unnecessarily difficult.
Notes:
- It's a good idea to have the player character restore health not at the very beginning of the cutscene, but rather as the player character is 'patching up' A.K.A not being shown on camera and instead being positioned at the Medpack hotspot.
Let me know of any suggestions or comments!
