No! Not spam, down with bots
Only the good stuff, no more construction...
Give back the freedom
Make the purchase,
Support the industry

Welcome to one of the "perks" of being a preorder member. You have the power to disapprove posts so you can get rid of spam. Remember to write down the users name because you don't actually have the power to get rid of them. PM one of the mods with a list of bot names.

Can we get a fucking system in place to keep the spam off the forums?

Seriously, I'm not a coder but how hard is it to code a "2 + 2 = ?" system where you have to input 4 to make an account?

True, considering someone was clever enough to make the website, couldn't hurt to add one of those fancy captcha thingies.

Guys, it's been implemented already. The board requires registering users to fill Google's reCaptcha box.

Yes. Programming a capcha-esque thingummy might not be that hard, and programming a solver to read them might be significantly harder, but that doesn't mean there's no one out there who can do both.

To become truly bot-free, we're going to have to think of something really clever.

All accounts must show proof of purchase for any Wolfire product.

At least then they're buying crap if they want to spam us.

Many people post here to ask how to provide proof of purchase (i.e. do the SPF access thing).
