Can someone give me an excuse to use this?

Seriously. Everyone is too fucking understanding in this thread.

Politeness doesn't exist on the internet. Don't we all know that?

On the subject of play-styles to improve Skyrim, that is correct.

I played through as a Khajiit caravan guard once. A good adjustment to improve the gameplay of violent characters to abstain from looting. When I killed a character, I'd take just my arrows/bolts and their gold, if it was less than about 15 or so coins.

To make money, I'd pick the local flowers and such and sell them in the cities the caravan visited. I also had Hunterborn installed, so I'd sometimes go out and hunt an elk and sell the goods to the caravan merchant or the city merchants.

Anyways, a character that does kill others can be made much more engaging when you aren't taking everything in sight. The main difference is that even the vanilla start, played this way, changes. I made a really run of the mill warrior character and made sure that the only gear I took was a sword and armor from the beginning. When I got to Riverwood, I didn't have enough gold to buy a better sword or armor or ingots or anything. Since I couldn't loot or pillage to get money, I had to find a job. Suddenly the Bleak Falls Barrow quest doesn't seem so shitty because I'm getting a massive payment for it, compared to what I have now.

Also, the SkyDie mod is an actually good combat overhaul that doesn't make the game feel cheap. You have to manage your stamina and take things slower. It doesn't copy Dark Souls' play style, but it is a good step in a more engaging and thoughtful direction.

I heard the Requiem mod was pretty engaging too.

On a different note, who's hyped for Smash 3DS?
I know I'm at least moderately excited.

I have not heard of Requiem up to this point, but it looks pretty awesome.
