I wrote a program to convert various triangle files (i.e. 3ds, triangle-ized objs, etc.) into .solid files. I wasn't much of a modeler, so I never did anything with it.

With enough time, you can crack the code of the solid files reasonably easily.
And with some basic knowledge of coding, you can make a program to either make them yourself, or convert 3DMF files or similar files to it.
Combined with Meshwork, your little app will probably not help at all, as I'm pretty sure you might be another windows user.
