A map I made

Post by Darber » Thu Apr 27, 2006 5:35 pm

Well, I made a map called the fort and all it really is is a big fort with a tree in the middle. Don't ask me why I just like trees. Tell me what you guys think.

also here are some images (note: I was using the chinaskin mod when I took the pictures cause it looks so cool :D )

and one more

And this is my first map (i think) so don't yell and scream at me if you don't like it.
P.S there is some kind of bug where the fire won't show :? it worked when I took the screenshot but when I reloaded the map and it dissapeared.

This map is pretty good, but it's so laggy. I mean, it must have taken forever to make it, there's all these cool steps, walls, giant bush trees, so awesome my computer can just barely run it. But I guess that's what gamespeed is for, gotta run this thing at .76 to get some decent framerate.

I also have the China skin mod, and it looks like you used its armor too. I wonder what it looks like without that. Probably just a bunch of rabbits with top leather armor on. Oh yeah, I think it would be better if you went back to add some variety to the clothing. But other than that, this map is pretty good, maybe even too good for Lugaru. Simple maps are just as fun to play as complicated ones.

I played it without the China skin, it's a really nice map, and I like the fire under the other guys kinda idea. Your screenshots with the china skins were great. I also liked how you made the bushes really big so they looked like another kind of tree, that was pretty cool.

okay, I just played it without insane mode on. It's so much easier without it, and alot of the lag is taken out. In fact, it barely hitches up at all at normal speed. Cept for those stairs, but that's okay the stairs are cool.

thanks for the feedback and it didn't take that long to make, mabey around 30 minutes(the map editor is so hard to use), and I might make another one I dunno.

the map is great, but there is so much going on that it causes lag/bugs. I had some weird things going on with weapons (whenever i picked one up i couldn't see it and the animations woulndt go off for it, but i could attack with it)

Wow, mega bump. Not that that's bad, I don't see what's wrong with them really.
