but the wolves have a quick leg sweep you can't seem to block.
Um, yeah, you can, I've done it a few thousand times now. :)

Really the best way to kill him depends on what you're good at. If you're only good at stealth kills then you're pretty much assured death, because wolves always hear or smell you coming.

If you're good at blocks and reversals, if you can, grab a knife and just reverse his attacks, the knife gives you extra damage to the wolf.

If you're good at stright forward melee "Punch U Punch Me" fights then just have at him.

A good way to kill a wolf however that doesn't require much skill is have a spare body around and lure him over to it. When he's pretty close do the move where you pick up the body and punch it away (In case you don't know how to do this is crouch over the body and hit attack. Make sure you're facing the enemy though)

Actually, it's quite the contrary, I play on easy almost all the time, and that wolf in level 4 always catches my knife. Always.

And with the staff megawhomp attack, it's rather easy to get a wolf down, just use a legsweep.
If you can get the wolf off his feet, you can easily toss a knife into his back while he's getting up and pull it out later, it's rediculesly easy.

And remember to hold down the mouse button instead of using rapid clicking and you should also know that wolves will pretty much always attack head on rather than slowly side-step around you and wait like rabbits do. At least, I think it's easier to predict a wolf attack than a rabbit one.

I also block/reverse wolf leg sweeps all the time. However, they have a quick leg sweep which is a different move, and is almost too fast to react to.

If you've never been swept by a wolf, then I salute you.

Because "f" is the key to set yourself aflame. Well, you seem to have activated the debug mode correctly, it just seems that you aren't accessing the console altogether.

I don't know, you're hitting the right key (`). When you do open up the console correctly you should know it though, the game will pause, then darken and you'll get a nice text area to type in.

If you don't have a regular American keyboard setup, the key to enter the console may not be '~'. That may be the problem.

I think the correct key is supposed to be just right of your left 'shift' key, or something like that. Just look for it.

The correct key on my keyboard is the one just under Esc.

I have an english keyboard and for me it's the "@" button. I could have typed "'" button, but that looks weird.
