Most of the Japanese in that is pretty good, too.
He has a bit of an accent, though.

Maybe it's because I have almost no interest in anime, or the fact that I think the Final Fantasy games were some of the most terribly overrated games of all time ... but I found it hardly funny.

Ah well :D

FF games are not overated. I don't like the random battles and spending hours leveling up. Other then that I like Final fantasy games.

Huh?

Really though, do FF games take any skill? Granted, you do have to memorize which thing does what, but where's the actual skill in it? I don't see FF players pulling off times like 1:19 in the Facility in Goldeneye :D

There is skill in strategy games like Final Fantasy Tactics, but its a different kind of skill than in action games which is a different kind than in racing games, etc.

If you can beat an RPG without having to run around to "train", then you really got skill. Being able to handle the dynamic abilities of your party for the given situation at a low level basis to ensure victory is always harder than just thumbing it up to level 99. One of the best ways to play it out is to see what's the lowest level you can beat the game at.
Though, if you know the management system well enough to train a guy to legendary status before you fight the first boss, that deserves equal respect.

Maybe it's because my avatar is a sprite with an orange pixelated hat and green hair, and not a high-pressure nitrogen tank with horns.

Wow. People seem to find so many shapes in my avatar it might as well be a Rorschach. Just so you know, it's a dude called a Zippy with a viking helmet on, hence the 'Viking Zippy.' I could go into an extensive account of how I got the name and how Zippys came to be, but bleh, no one wants to hear that :P

Yeah, I know.
I'm feeling under the weather, as the adage goes. A combined flu plus early morning migraine plus all four wisdom teeth pulled on friday equals one very grumpy fournine. I'm taking more meds now than I can swallow!
